You still get scared watching scary movies at night??

I just watched conjuring 2. I get in my bed with my girl already asleep since she wont watch scary movies and I'm googling etc on my phone. All of a sudden I realize that my room is brighter than it has been for the last 10 minutes. I look up and realize a light is coming into my room. Get up, walk out, and there's my monitor as if someone turned that shit on.... I think normally I'd just say whatever, but after watching that scary movie and reading about it "googling the true story behind it" and then that happening, gives me a little chill lol.

Absolutely.

You don't realize how many noises your house makes until you've just watched a scary movie.

Prison Bitch 12-13-2016 11:46 AM

I don't watch scary movies. I'll say this, I sure's hell wouldn't watch the original Omen movies at night alone. Not without a security blankie

It's hard to find a horror movie that's genuinely scary anymore.

Agreed.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, it's tough to come up with something fresh and new in the horror genre, but damn if they don't all fall into he same tropes time after time.

I liked the Paranormal Activity series for their originality. I also like the first Conjuring. I still don't think any of those legitimately terrorized my mind. I think the last one to truly affect me was The Ring. I was younger then so maybe that's what did it but I remember sweating when I'd wake up in the middle of the night hoping my TV wouldn't turn on with that well in the background.

This...still watch them all the time but rarely get genuinely spooked, although I did a second viewing of Blair Witch back around Halloween and that one still gives me the shivers

The first Insidious with Ethan Hawke is also pretty damn good

I've never seen Blair Witch.
I need to check that out.

I enjoyed the Saw movies, just because of the scenarios etc. not so much scary, just sort of a mind screw.

Very true. Sometimes you will see a preview on TV that looks pretty good and then at the end they say it's rated PG-13.

Well that movie is gonna suck.

stumppy 12-13-2016 01:57 PM

Nope, not me. I don't get scared one bit. You know why I don't get scared ? Because I don't watch those damn things. Not at night, not during the day, never.
