Insider Buzz: Dak Prescott Flying Up Draft Boards, Could Be Next Russell Wilson
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...russell-wilson
Every NFL team would love to find the under-the-radar quarterback who goes on to blossom into a franchise QB, someone in the mold of Kirk Cousins or Russell Wilson, and Mississippi State's Dak Prescott seems to fit that particular mold heading into the 2016 NFL Combine. Why are NFL executives so enamored with Prescott? Watch Bleacher Report NFL Draft Analyst Matt Miller discuss Dak in the video . <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RBpNnnqyljg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Dak.....Rayne Dakota "Dak" Prescott.
who the hell names their kid this? dont tell me,is Rayne supposed to be pronounced Ryan but it looks cooler so they did it that way? or is it because it was raining when..well,you know |
That running QB gimmick doesn't work well in NFL for long
|
as if the Chiefs would ever draft a QB with the intent of them being anything other than a 3rd stringer.

He reminds me of Tebow when he was at Florida, but a little better passer than Tebow and not on nearly as good a team Tebow had. Obviously Tebow was highly overrated projecting into the NFL as a QB.
I guess you never know, but I never thought that much of Prescott having a good NFL future as a QB. I guess it depends if someone can coach up his passing skills. |

I did like that he didn't seem too over-celebratory. I like to see a QB happy his team scored and I do like to see fire/passion, but some QBs I start not to like because of their attitude. (Not talking about Cam, just in general.) |
We need founding members of the Dak Prescott Mafia to form now.

Prescott is a stud. He's a better passer and pocket QB than either Tebow or Newton at the same stage. Everyone raves about his leadership and character and the guy is a winner. Broke Tom Brady's Orange Bowl passing records. Dude can throw it. Would fit in extremely well in Reid's system. |
I think he'll have some growing pains, but I think he'll have the dedication and skill set to have some staying power in the league. That said, I think there's a handful of better QB prospects in the upcoming draft I'd rather see us draft.
