Skype - Help! How to use
 

Hey Gents,

I have a call coming tomorrow from Denmark and the president of the company is wanting to have a conversation using Skype, which I've never used. I've used Facetime to connect with friends and family on my iPhone and iPad over WiFi in the house but that's the extent of my experience.

I setup a Skype account but do I need a Skype number? If I download the app to my iPad, will it connect using Wifi or do I need a cell phone to connect? If a cell phone is needed, will I be charged for an International call? I have very poor reception in my home as well, which could be a detriment to the call.

You don't need a number, just add his name to your contacts you can vid chat, IM, and call.

Off topic..... Dane, do you do scripts or music (or something else)?

I compose and produce music for film, TV, advertising, etc.

I'd suggest a practice Skype with someone if you haven't used it before.

Really? Okay, I'll try that later with my wife and kids because they're out town. As I mentioned, I've only used Face Time in the past, so this is probably a good idea.
