THE GLAM SLAM: Ziggy, Alice, T-Rex, or KISS.

NO SOLO BOWIE in this match, it MUST BE Ziggy and Spiders material.

Vintage Mick Ronson, a young Ace Frehley, Under My Wheels, and a 20th Century Boy.

WHO IS GONNA' DESTROY 'ER?

Get it on.

I can not cast a vote. I love each artist for different reasons.

They redefined the the whole term of glam, they proved it would not only sell but that it could rule the world...

They could give you a straight rocker,

They could give you some strange mix of Irish sea shanty/country song and make it work,

They could give you early grunge, a song almost any sludge (grunge, but they all hate that word) rocker from the 90's always cites as a killer song when asked about KISS, and I loved it looong before they told me about it...

How about the original glam artists: Sweet, and Slade????

Sweet Daddy Hate 06-05-2015 08:05 PM

A strong case, Easy.

My favorite off RRO:

I owned that album on vinyl for probably twelve years before I actually heard that song.

Finding a decent record player can be tough... its short, but that's some of Ace's niftiest solo work, he was stretching there.

Also a good solo for Ace:

All good, but Bowie is just so ****ing awesome.

Bugeater 06-05-2015 09:05 PM

KISS is the least talented in that bunch, but far and away the most popular.

Deberg_1990 06-05-2015 09:31 PM

Gary Glitter?

Agreed but I still love that first live album even though it was dubbed all to hades with several different shows. What is in bold refers to the best mass marketing for sure.:thumb:

One of these is not like the others and showing in the poll.

Bowie is pretty incredible as artist that had great stuff starting late 60's and still managing to put out well regarded material in recent years.
