Comcast Changes Customer's name to A--hole!
 
You never see this on their TV commercials. At least they could have called him "Mister A**shole..."

A Spokane, Washington, man discovered his name changed to "A**hole" on his monthly Comcast service bill.

Ricardo and Lisa Brown tried to cancel their cable service. An ensuing bill displayed Ricardo's first name as the profanity.

According to a CBS News report, Lisa Brown said she was met with resistance when she tried to get the billing name corrected.

She decided to contact a consumer advocacy writer, who helped elicit an apology from a spokesman of the cable and Internet provider, the country's largest.

According to CNN, the company is investigating how the name change happened and will be taking steps to ensure it doesn't occur again.

Comcast is no stranger to well-publicized reports of poor customer service. The CNN article listed an incident where one customer recorded an eight-minute phone call in which a representative refused to cancel service. The CBS News report stated that another customer once was put on hold for more than three hours while trying to cancel service.

Lisa Brown told the consumer advocacy writer that she was never rude while speaking to customer service representatives at Comcast.

I can't even get Comcast to provide me adequate support to help me change my IP address. They won't do it, just say to turn modem off for 12 hours and that still doesn't work.
