Denver Post calls last night's game a "Dumpster Fire"

Jeez, these guys are so full of themselves. Fire the coach, get rid of five head, we didn't even make it to the AFC Championship game. What a bunch of whiny cry babies. I'm sure lots of other NFL teams would love to have John Fox as a head coach. And Oakland is talking to that jerk Del Rio (perfect coach for a classless bunch like Oakland).

Cracks me up, man.

Tbh, it was a dumpster fire. Their offense was predictable and never adjusted. They kept trying to work screens and the short passing game and never strayed from it. It was a pretty shitty effort and gameplan on their end.

I mean, they looked like a less effective KC offense.

"Broncos are winning the SuperBowl" since preseason.

DaWolf 01-12-2015 01:51 PM

Yeah, we'd be saying the same thing if we had Manning, a bunch of high priced free agents, and lost AGAIN in the first game. Heck, we'd probably say the same thing if we just lost again in the first game no matter who we had, because we've lost in the first playoff game so many times.

I guess the difference is that they didn't have to face Gronkowski last year and made it to the Super Bowl, but still. That was a major fail for Denver considering what they were sold as going into the season, and how everyone was calling Mr. Ed the greatest GM ever...

Yep, defense never adjusted nor did the offense. Horrible coaching all the way around. Just like their SB loss. Unprepared/poor coaching and game plan.

They demand excellence. They just don't exude it.

At least they are finally admitting it.

No. Last years Super Bowl game was a dumpster fire. This last game was just a result of the defense facing an actual offense and Payton turning 105 years old in QB years.

Chris Harris is all butt hurt.

Chris Harris feels 'like the season was a waste of time'

John Elway spent the offseason revamping his defense to get tougher and deeper in order to match the Seattle Seahawks and avenge a Super Bowl blowout.

Instead Peyton Manning's team limped out in the Divisional Round after a 24-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

"I feel like the season was a waste of time, like we wasted all of our hard work," cornerback Chris Harris said, per The Denver Post. "We have to figure out what the plan is going to be next year and try to move on. It's tough. They beat us in all phases of the game."

Give the much-maligned Colts offensive line heaps of praise for shutting down a star-studded Broncos pass rush, keeping Andrew Luck clean. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware were almost nonexistent. The Broncos had zero sacks and earned just four quarterback hits the entire game.

"They played better than us. You have to be smart against a guy like (Luck) because of his ability to make plays with his feet. He played a great game. He got the ball out quick at times," said defensive tackle Terrance Knighton. "We clearly didn't do enough on our end to win."

While the Broncos' defensive overhaul went for naught, the Colts will move on to face a Patriots defensive front that didn't get pressure on Joe Flacco last week. If Indy's offensive line keeps Andrew Luck clean once again, the Colts will have a shot at another Super Bowl trip.

Van Pelt was appalled Denver was boo'ing Manning.

Likened it to a rich kid being mad for getting the wrong color BMW on Christmas.

Yeah, that I didn't get. For some reason there seem to be a large segment of Denver fans that have never really embraced Manning. Elway must have spoiled them, and if Manning can't escape Elway's shadow, well...

If Manning never plays for Denver again: (In 3 years played)

3 division championships
4 home playoff games
1 AFC Title
1 Super Bowl loss

...

alternative?

Tim Tebow.

****ing crybaby Broncos fans.

I was surprised by it as well. Man I hope they get stuck on the QB train like most teams do. A bunch of scrub QB's would serve them right.
