What do you think of when you call someone a "douche"?
 

With all of this douche talk occupying the board, I just want to clarify what is actually meant by the application of the term "douche".

For example, when I call someone a douche, I generally mean:

• the overvalue themselves and belittle others in the process
• they try really really hard to be cool but they are clearly not
• they can't take a hint that nobody likes them

I've heard others use the term as a general derogatory term for someone they don't like. However, when I use it I have a specific meaning in mind.

Please share your views on douche usage.

Someone I could watch being beaten into a bloody pulp with absolutely no regard for their well-being, perhaps accompanied with a small smirk.

For me, douche is a synonym for asshole.

Someone who would steal a laptop, complains about his chin, or has pissed on another man's back.
