Netflix connection problem

Thought I'd throw this out in case anyone had any thoughts.

Smart tv wireless internet,it was working fine and now getting a message that network not available.Went into the menu and trying to install, did a search for our network and it finds it fine but will not connect.Computers in home are working fine.

Not real good with this stuff,DTV did set-up before when it was working.

Any thoughts,ideas appreciated.

Re-boot it. Three times.

Probably got throttled by your ISP.

Sometimes if you uninstall Netflix and re-install it, things magically work. That worked for me a couple times.

Can you check for updates on your smartTV?

Like I said in the OP I'm not real smart on these issues,so I have no idea.I'll take a look through the troubleshooting part of the guide when I get a chance.

Want me to stop by and help you out? (cost you a few beers)

I got a Roku 3 before I got a smart TV. I switched to using the smart TV and it works pretty good most of the time, but then I kept having problems losing sound during programs and getting some signal loss. Switched back to the Roku and it was fine again.

Not sure how this information might help you. Just throwing it out there.

I don't have a smartTV but I do have a smart BluRay player that has Netflix. I go into settings and there is a check for update option.
What make and model TV do you have?

Seriously, unplug the power to your TV and wait a few seconds. Then plug it back in and see if it connects.

Ok I don't have a link but this happens to me all the time.

Launch the app
Now on your remote press
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, up, up, up
look for ESN field select deactivate then restart app and sign back in.

Should work no promises though

I updated it on my PS3 and it barely worked for 2 weeks no matter what I did but it worked on my other devices. Just started working again one day. Hope that isn't your problem.

Fish 11-19-2014 02:14 PM

I would reset all the devices involved. Pull the plug on your modem, router, and TV for a minute. Then plug them all back in. Give it several minutes to reestablish connection. Then test again.

Nzoner 11-19-2014 03:27 PM

Okay so I called the tv tech support and they walked me through a couple of things and then had me call my internet provider and tell them a couple of things.Sorry to be so vague but long story short it worked.

Thank you to all who replied though.
