Who will be the QB to break Mannings TD record?

Brady, Brees seem too old? Luck maybe? Or maybe he hasn't been drafted yet?

Who will it be?

In five years pretty much any QB will be able to break it because they will change the rules even more making it a touch league.

Mannings record is bullshit because they have changed the rules. They can't change the rules every god damn year and then make the case that players are going for the same records. It is bullshit as far as I am concerned.

Luck

Luck will own all of the Records when he is done.

Marino to Farve to Manning to Luck

Big Poppa Payne 10-20-2014 06:49 AM

Alex Smith

Luck will own every record barring injury. He's already lighting is up with far less supporting cast than what Manning had. Once he gets some weapons... it's going to be scary.

Somebody who doesn't throw check downs. That doesn't work in the NFL

Molitoth 10-20-2014 07:08 AM

Luck is the only one I can think of.

It's gonna be Manning the next time he throws a TD. But seriously I'll have to go with Luck, unless Favre comes outta retirement.

This pretty much goes for every record in every sport. Just sayin'. The rules change, or the nature of the game changes.

Manning is kind of the perfect storm. You have clearly one of the greatest QBs ever, and you put him on a team that plays in a dome, let him start from day one, and on a team that focuses their offense around the pass. He plays with the same great receivers for most of his career and is one of the most remarkably durable quarterbacks in history.

It's hard to picture any active player being able to do those things.

This. The record will stand for a while and the QB who will break it is not in the NFL right now. Luck is the only one that might come close because he has the most ideal situation with everything set up for him to succeed.

No rotating HC/OC. Very good weapons. Plays in a very weak division. Etc.
