Salary cap
So with the addition of Quinn, Boss, Routt, Winston and Hillis - where do we stand salary cap wise and is there enough to go after another Winston type FA and pay the rooks?

We're in the hole 62 cents.

Pioli is a ****ing wizard.

We can still get Manning and then keep some.

We were good until we picked up the Jack Stack bill.

Rooks have already been accounted for. They don't go against the salary cap

Rookie pool counts for around 5 million. 10 million left we can spend in FA...most GMs like to keep 3 around during the year to sign players for injury replacements and we have a lot of spots left to fill in depth. I would be a little surprised to see us make another signing before final cuts when we can pick up some decent vets on reasonable deals. |
I really wouldn't mind some long-term extensions with the rest of this money.
Get Bowe's contract done so we don't have to deal with this headache next year. If we do that it might actually free up even more money depending on how it's structured. |

With that we could still have afforded what we've signed... |

Lock Albert up now.

I believe these guys have their contracts up next offseason:
Kendrick Lewis Glenn Dorsey Brandon Albert Jon Asamoah? (I believe 3rd rounders start the trend of 3-year contracts) Tony Moeaki? Dorsey and Albert are the biggest question marks. We have no idea if Pioli wants to keep either of them around. Dorsey is the most expendable, especially if Country Strong starts to rape faces this year. I would imagine Albert would be a desirable keep for the right price, which I'll bet we can make happen given Pioli's trend of getting quality players at ridiculous prices |
