All great songs. Campbell's lyrics and phrasing are just incredible to me in this one.

While I love both of those songs I wasn't simply picking my own favorite. CMT and Country Weekly did a survey last year and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was the overwhelming favorite for best country song of all time. I happen to agree so I included it in the OP as best country song ever. Of course it's open to debate.

Meh, everyone will have their own favorites. I just cannot see topping those two. Absolutely perfect in terms of country music.

I agree they are perfect songs. There are a lot of perfect songs and to each thier own. I love both songs you named. Total win as far as I'm concerned.
