Anyone else watch this? Got to say I loved the show, and am thinking that the History Channel is going to be the next AMC, with their lineup.

It's on my DVR. The promo looked interesting so I can't wait to watch it.

"The Bible" is terrible. Bad casting, poor acting and terrible writing. Yes that's Jesus visiting Abraham with two other "angels!"

I can't believe how it's getting the high rating.

Vikings is decent, and I'm liking more as the story unfolds. I like the sets, wardrobes, and that it's based on real people from the 9th century. It's been renewed for another season.

While I haven't seen The Bible series, I find it amusing that it's listed as a Docudrama(b/c it has a narrator?), while Vikings is only a Drama.

The show is actually very historically inaccurate - Ragnar Lothbrok didn't attack Lindisfarne, they had been sailing the North Sea since Roman times, Rollo isn't even a Scandinavian name, that sort of thing - but as far as the feel of the show, the look of the villages and the buildings, and the general world view, it's doing all right.

As a show, I love it. Floki especially is a brilliant character - giggling as he murders people in cold blood. It started a little slowly, but it's appointment TV for me now.

This is actually one of the shows that I look forward to now. Whether it's historical accurate or not, it's period accurate, and very entertaining.

I'm liking it. I agree that it start off slow but you could tell that they were building towards something.

I certainly wouldn't kick Lagertha out of my bed for spilling pickled herring.

Sunday nights at 9 CST. Saturday they aired all 5 previous episodes. I dvr'd and by the 3rd episode, I was hooked. I would suggest going to the history channel website and viewing the previous episodes. Episode 6 aired this past Sunday.

I am in on this. Finally DVRd all the shows. I like it quite a bit.

I found the last few episodes of the season to be pretty boring and uninteresting. It was really disappointing after a good start.

Kind of what I was thinking. However, I will DVR the next season. It's earned a little more time.

The seemed to get rid of some of the more interesting characters there.

I would have much preferred to see more battling amongst the other countries with the pillaging and plundering. Not all these squirmishes amongst themselves.

I don't know. The whole Ragnar v Rolo thing can be done well.

And surely they'll get back to raiding soon. I guess there was a "season" for raiding. Maybe they'll hit it again.

Let's just say I'm ****ing pissed they've gone from information to info-tainment...

I'm right there with you. I hate the direction they've gone, but this is better than most of the other drivel they have going.

I am a sucker for almost everything History Channel. Ax Men and Counting Cars being the exception.

Really? American Pickers makes me want that hour of my life back. Pawn Stars is so embarrassingly scripted I don't even think they pretend its not. Never have seen a single second of Swamp People. The goddamned commercials for it make me want to go on a mass murdering spree. Their reality TV is embarrassingly bad.

And everything else being about a conspiracy or aliens? Mother**** that. Jesus ****ing Christ. That fills me with hate and rage.

I forgot about Swamp People, that show is stupid too. Pawn Stars definitely has some script to it but I just find the items interesting in general. I am curious what you dislike about America Pickers. That seems to be the one that almost everybody enjoys.

I find it to be just as goddamn scripted as Pawn Stars less the interesting items.

I find no entertainment value from the two dudes or Danielle.

To top it all off, I have an aversion to shit. The piles and piles of shit bug the crap out of me.

So far...I am enjoying this series. Hadn't really heard of it until i saw an episode on Sunday morning. It was quite entertaining so i went back to On Demand and started from the beginning.

I am going to try and watch episodes 8 and 9 sometime this weekend.

Maybe it's just me, but it kind of seems like Ragnar got less likable as the series went on.

Season 2 coming up tonight at 9 Central. Set 'em.

Watched the reruns last night, so I could remember what happen. Can't wait for tonight.

I hope season 2 is good. I thought they were struggling at the end of season one.

IM going to watch it. I watched all of season one. Just did NOT like the way season two ended. Was not a fan of him cheating on his wife like that.

The season opener started off with a BANG...Even my wife was going Holy SH*T!!!

I was entertained.

Ragnar let his first love and mother of his first child, his heir, go... nothing good will come from it.

His family, his clan, will ultimately be chewed up and cast about because of it, which is probably not so far off the historical mark... lines of succession, power grabs and religion do them in eventually, that's the only way this series can go if they stay true to history.

What a fantastic episode....It looks like they will skip ahead a few years in future episodes. Sneak peeks showed a teenanage-looking Bjorn fighting with the old man...and mom.

Love this show. Quality.

Last night's episode was enjoying. The priest sure has changed....

Looking forward to next week.

Yeah, loved last nights show, I think the priest is just doing what he has to to survive, you could tell he felt terrible about the fellow monk and then showed mercy by putting the Bishop out of his misery.

Things will really heat up when Ragnar gets back home, cant wait to see that play out.

Yeah the son was just a boy last week, last night he's a strapping young man.

Still enjoying....but less so over the last couple of episodes.

I'll never forget the 'Blood Eagle' episode. My favorite show.

Great show. Packed episodes. More so than most other shows on TV as far as significant events in each episode.

Season 3. Anybody else watching?
So far, through 2 episodes....it's just kind of...meh.

Usually well thought out and exciting episodes have been somewhat dull to start.

Every season starts slow. Last year's made me want to quit.

The thing keeping me in right now is Katheryn Winnick.

It's insane how beautiful she is.

I'm liking it.

Pretty much if they're not fighting it's not all that good. But I can watch a lot of shit to get to the fights :)

Ok....at first i was on board with this series...but i am slowly falling off. Last night's episode left me totally underwhelmed. I may or may not watch next week.

****ing finally....a good episode this season. Won't spoil it for everyone...but Season 3, Episode 8 is definitely worth checking out.
