NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Noblesville medics were called to a home on Wednesday after a 2-year-old was stabbed in the head, officials said. Authorities have confirmed the child has died.

Police have arrested 30-year-old Micah Harrison on a preliminary charge of murder. Harrison is the father of the victim.

The child has been identified as 2-year-old Michael Harrison.

Police say the Harrisons were visiting extended family in the area.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. at an apartment on 14924 Waterlily Drive.

Neighbors told 24-Hour News 8 they saw a number of children outside playing Wednesday afternoon on snow piles. They said they saw a little boy fall, get in trouble, and they say they saw him get spanked by a man.

Soon after that, police were called to the apartment complex, after a call that a two year old had been stabbed in the head with a knife.

Authorities say they found two year old Michael Harrison suffering from significant trauma to the head.

Soon after that, neighbors said they saw police detain a man on the ground.

“We saw the cops take him out and then put him on the ground,” said neighbor Jordan Hardister.

“He was just laying there on the ground, and the cops had a gun to him saying, put your hands up,” said neighbor Alex Carstens.

Police say they’re not sure what transpired inside the apartment. They say there were multiple people, adults and children, inside at the time, including Micah and Michael Harrison.

Neighbors also say they saw police carry two small girls from the home shortly after the incident.

Micah Harrison was arrested last March in Baldwin County, Alabama, for failure to appear. He has also faced charges of menacing.

It’s not clear who lives inside the Noblesville apartment. Neighbors believe it to be a couple who had only lived there for about six months.

Police say the two year old’s mother also lives in Alabama.

I'm serious. Why does the fact this happened in January of 2013 have ANY bearing on it being "lol" material?

Why are you posting this now? Or did you simply google "man stabs child" as a retort to the consistent shooting deaths we witness daily?

I posted this is response to your posting random gun incidents, yes. What's your point?

We're discussing how the use of knives is generally non lethal compared to guns.

How are you this dense?

I would think that that a stab wound to the vitals is somewhat comparable to a gunshot wound to the same vitals.

No?

No?

Sure.

So all 14 must have been stabbed in non-vital areas. I suppose this is possible. Extremely unlikely but who knows.

I'm no expert, but I'm rather certain that not EVERY gunshot is fatal.

Wait. Is someone seriously trying to say guns aren't any more lethal than knives?

Prison Bitch 04-09-2013 06:17 PM

Better keep that kid away from the knives. Or the dad.

Is getting stabbed in the heart any less lethal than getting shot through the heart?

and you're to blame.
Darlin', you give love a bad name.
