STILL 4.19 here

Crude has stalled at around $100/barrel. Now $104.

Gasoline had done the same at around $4.11/gallon.

I noticed the same thing here yesterday. Gas was down to $3.49 for 87 octane on Tuesday but on my drive in Wed morning it was $3.79 everywhere.

I'm not smart enough or well read enough on the subject to know the inner workings of the cost of gas, but a .30 jump seems extraordinary. On the whole, I think it's tough to argue that limiting domestic production doesn't affect the cost we pay, but I'm sure the oil companies and producers are likely gouging as well. I just know I miss the days where it was under $2 a gallon!

They probably want to make some of the money back from a few years ago when oil/gas was really cheap mid 2020 and they were taking it in the shorts due to a lot less people driving during lockdowns.

I try to look at it as a 3 year average so to speak. Something simple like if your paying $4 now but were paying $2 per gallon two years ago you have an average of over that time frame of $3. Basically these gas prices go up and down.

Every station. Do the stations where you live have a wide variance in the price of gasoline? Seems like a bad business model to me. The only places I ever see that are cheaper in say a 10 mile radius of each other are Costco and Sam's, which give you a 10 cent discount.

Yes. Right now within a ten mile radius, I have a low of $3.84 and a high of $4.11.

prices have been stalled at $4.40 to $4.50 for nearly a month now. Most common prices I see are $4.44 and $4.49.

I paid 7 dollars a gallon yesterday in Santa Monica

Munson 05-04-2022 08:59 PM

$3.89 in Olathe.

LiveSteam 05-04-2022 10:22 PM

To ****ing much in Omaha.

Seen my 1st ( He did that) sticker ,stuck on a pump today.

Mephistopheles Janx 05-04-2022 10:32 PM

$3.79 per gallon in the middle of nowhere Missouri.

I no longer have any need for my electric car though... looking to swap it for my little brother's 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8. Working the numbers now but hope it works out. If not, gonna have to figure something out.

Probably back to paying for gasoline... but thankfully I don't go anywhere so it all works out.

$130 to fill up my commodore, when it normally rounds out under 100 (98 octane).

notorious 05-05-2022 08:34 AM

Double those and get back to me.

My customers are getting hammered with mileage charges.

CatinKS 05-05-2022 08:44 AM

$3.99 in Central Kansas Today. This bump up is probably due to the higher cost of summer blend that starts by refiners first of May.
