Take it for what it's worth but I heard today from a very reliable source that the leading actor for Han Solo isn't even on the "List" and he will make an appearance in Rogue One.

They like Scott Eastwood quite a bit but they think he may be too "stiff" and unable to hit the comedic beats.

So the front runner and guy they targeting is Liam Hemsworth. He's an Aussie and apparently, very, very funny.

The Hunger Games guy? Really? I don't see how he fits the role at all.

Liam Hemsworth, huh? Well, a young Han Solo will be all about the cockiness and swagger to go along with the dry wit. If he can pull it off, then have at it.

I've never seen him in any movie so I can't comment.

But from what I was told, he and his brothers are real cut-ups in real life, always teasing and pulling pranks.

Chris has been showing that side with roles in Vacation and Ghostbusters and from what I'm told, Liam has the same sense and timing.

Again, just sharing, not judging.

So this is between 3 and 4 right?

It's set just before A New Hope. A team is assembled to steal the plans to the Death Star.

Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and Alan Tudyk star.

From what I've heard, Darth Vader not only makes an appearance, he's also seen fighting on the battlefield, displaying massive Force powers.

Mikkelsen's role is supposed akin to Oppenheimer.

He helps the Empire solve problems with the Death Star, not realizing what kind of power he's unleashed.

After he realizes this fatal error, he and his daughter (Felicity Jones) join the rebellion.

Mads Mikkelsen would make an excellent Grand Moff. He has the weight about him on screen to pull a character that demands respect.

Somehow, this film has kind of sank under the radar a bit for me. I know literally nothing more than the story of the early Rebels that had the balls to go after the plans for the Death Star. I look forward to learning more about it in the coming months in here.

I'm sure these are all fan made, but what the hey....

Hopefully this film address the thousands of innocent contractors that the Rebels killed when they blew up Death Stars.

Interesting tidbits from a recent Disney screening for shareholders:

"Most of it was very quick. A shot of the black stormtrooper, possibly called Death Troopers as previously reported, another pic of that same style of helmet and armor but all chrome, reminiscent of Captain Phasma from The Force Awakens, an image showed two AT-ATs that had a slightly different look with the door panel on the side of the body painted a lighter beige color. And a couple cast photos were shown, one of Felicity & Diego Luna and another of Donnie Yen. The clip featured Felicity’s character on what looked like the inside of a ship or shuttle with her arm up holding on and the hatch/ramp open behind her. I wish I could remember what she said as part of the sizzle but it went by too fast. The new stormtroopers looked great. …

It all looked great, had a classic Star Wars/A New Hope look & feel. Bob Iger said that they didn’t have footage but that it & Episode VIII had been filming as previously stated. I’m definitely more excited for the film since it will be set close to the classic trilogy time & like I said it definitely had a similar look/feel".

In the past we heard about a piece of concept art that had AT-ATs dropped into the ocean and the walkers walked underwater to the shore after being submerged and you saw them rise out of the water and hit the coast. It sounded really cool. I have no idea if that will be in the film or was just a concept though.

Speaking of AT-AT walkers, there has been a lot of contradictory details on the packages of the products for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story from friends and other sites that we trust. We had heard the package had the new black stormtrooper with AT-ATs on both sides of him. When the product is small, the AT-ATs won’t be used; instead we’ll see just the black stormtrooper.

Alan Tudyk is doing Motion Capture (Mo-Cap) for his character, like Andy Serkis (Snoke) and Lupito Nyong'o (Maz Kanata). A brief description of his character:

He’s a light-colored battle droid-type character. His face is reminiscent of 8D8 (the white droid that tortures the power droid in Jabba’s palace) and the body is somewhat like that of a battle droid.
