The Last Time Each Team Lost by 30 Points

I put this together to post on a Chargers board because the list is favorable to the Chargers, but I thought some might be interested here. Steelers are GOAT.

Some fun notes:

Somehow the entire NFC East got blown out by 30 points at least once last year. Also so did the entire NFC North, except Detroit, which somehow out of all those teams, they were the last to lose by 30 in 2010.

13/32 (40.6%) teams most recent 30 point loss was last season. 20/32 (62.5%) teams most recent loss was within the last 2 seasons. Only 3 teams have currently gone over 10 years without a 30 point loss. Pittsburgh has gone almost 17 full seasons, the Chargers have gone 11.5 seasons, and the Patriots have gone almost 11 full seasons.

Steelers – 1997 Week 1
Chargers – 2002 Week 9
Patriots – 2003 Week 1
Saints – 2007 Week 1
Falcons - 2007 Week 15
Lions – 2009 Week 14

Boy, those Lions and Falcons must be all-time great teams.

In all seriousness though, you should pair this with the last time each team won by 30+ as well.

The whole nation remembers the last team to do so though.

Also, good job arbitrarily choosing 30, since SD lost by 24 twice in 2012.

The Broncos would still be in very last place.

Yes, we lost the last game, so no matter what point differential you choose, we'll be in last place. I am eternally shamed that we made it to the super bowl. If only we had done the smart thing and lost early in the playoffs like the Chiefs and Chargers.

Exactly!! Shoulda bowed to the Pats and let them get their poop pushed in instead. Good thing you won't make it to the Super Bowl again this year to get stomped on again!
