What Sportmanship Is...

Apologies if posted before.

This is what high school sports should be. Kudos to both teams.

Thought this was gonna be a thread about EJ's jam as time expired last night.

Which was totally awesome, by the way

HC_Chief 02-26-2013 09:41 AM

Great story. Kudos to the other team; classy act at the end.

I hate touchy feel good stories in the morning when I'm in a pissy bad mood over knowing the Chiefs are going to muck up the first pick of the draft.

:thumb: cool story btw.

kinda dusty in here

Kick ass .

That kid will never ever forget that.

Kudos to the kid on the other team.

All the other BS in here, arguing about officiating and who's going #1. That 5 minutes changed that kid's life. Really great stuff. And the crowd reaction was really amazing.

I think I got something in my eye

This is very nice, but I'm curious: don't guys like him get humiliated when people treat him like that? I sure as hell would.

I think most people in that position, especially ones like this who seem to love the fact that they are included, dont think in those terms.

Think of it sort of like 'that guy' who is in a wheelchair who has all the confidence in the world and is just a badass. In a wheelchair.

That is how these sort of people roll.

After battling for the lead for 20 laps and neither of them giving the other an inch..

My son finished 2nd and was the one who pulled up for the fist bump. Was more proud of him for that than the 2nd place finish at a national race!

Great story. I seem to remember a story a few years back that was similar, except the challenged boy they put in the game started raining 3s.

BlackHelicopters 02-26-2013 03:39 PM

Nice.
