The Columbus Crew and Sporting Kansas City renew their Midwestern rivalry for the first time this season when the clubs face off Saturday evening at Crew Stadium. The Crew return home after another road defeat, the Montréal Impact coming back for a 2-1 win last weekend. Sporting are coming off a scoreless draw against the Houston Dynamo last weekend – then advanced to the U.S. Open Cup final with a 2-0 win at Philadelphia at midweek.

Both these teams have given up a league low 17 goals this year though SKC has played two more league games than the Crew.

I've always disliked the Crew.

I feel neutral towards them. But I totally get it.

This is a competitive and fun league...I know its not a top 5 league in the world but it is very entertaining in its own ecosystem. Sounds like your guys had a massive night. I am gonna have to sit down and see how that all went down.

DCU loses and allows SKC to get sole possession of 1st place in the East. Boom.

I am not a fan of the whole glowy effect but this is a pretty good video collection of the 1st half the season. Love this league.
