7.7 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Alaska

(CNN) -- A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska early Saturday morning and a tsunami warning is in effect, officials said.

There were no initial reports of damage but the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned that a "tsunami with significant widespread inundation of in land is expected."

The quake struck off the coast of Alaska about 200 south of Juneau, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

It was pretty cool actually. Lasted for a while. They downgraded it to a 7.5 the last I heard. Had tsunami warnings for a couple hours but they cancelled them.
