Yep. There's no shame in losing to Wisconsin. They have a damn, damn good defense and they know how to play the game to suit their abilities.

Gonzaga, Louisville are your locks. Kansas probably gets the third with Indiana getting the last one.

2-0 vs the top 25 and all other teams under consideration have at least 5 wins, and their SoS is 101.... but, you're probably right.

Louisville is probably the only team that should be a lock, and Indiana might have the 2nd best case for #1. I won't be heartbroken if KU ends up a #2, but they have as good of a case as any other team... they would be a lock, but their bad loss was really bad (granted, I tend to look at good wins before bad losses... it was really bad).

The problem with this year is that I essentially view every team as fraudulent. Might as well just throw darts at my bracket.

I agree w/ Bearcat on Gonzaga, but this year it just doesn't matter. Honestly, it rarely will anymore b/c college basketball is such a terrible, terrible product.

Iowa St. is gonna get that one seed and a home game to boot.

You're always welcome to join your crimson and blue brethren.

We could use someone with your pronounced, violent posting tendencies!

Top 8 for me:
Gonzaga, Louisville, KU, Indiana
Duke, Miami (assuming they win), Ohio St, Florida

No coincidence the B1G is the "best" conference this year.

They might even let Melvin Weatherwax sit on the bench as honorary staff for the NIT Championship game.

C'monnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, better than an 8-seed! That's all I'm hoping for, that the committee doesn't want to potentially throw a 30-4 #13 RPI team with 24 wins in its last 25 games at a #1 seed in the second round.

Also for Southern Miss to get in. Their resume is nothing special because C-USA was spectacularly bad from 3-12, but they're a ****ing beast to play and I love watching them.

Last year there were at least 3-4 teams like Kentucky, North Carolina, etc that stood out.

This year, you might really be better off throwing darts at a board. Indiana can get bogged down in half court games, KU lost a game to flipping TCU. Michigan limped to the finish line. Miami might get caught asleep against a weaker opponent. Duke looked strong with Kelly back, then promptly went out and lost their first game in the ACC tourney.

People rip on Gonzaga, and I probably won't pick them to win... but they certainly don't look much worse than everyone else. They pretty much ran through all the Big 12 teams they played this year.

I agree with all of this.

I keep telling people Gonzaga is pretty legit.

Yeah. It's going to be one ****ed up tournament. Every team has their own little fatal flaw. Somebody has to string together six games and cut down that net though.

It's times like these, I'm just thankful for Bill Self. In Bill I trust. :thumb:

This year's awesome because no one has any idea what's going to happen.

... which means it's going to be chalk all the way, I guess.
