Amendola vows money for Boston Marathon
In a tweet sent early Tuesday, New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has pleged to donate $100 for every pass he catches next season -- and $200 for every pass he doesn't catch -- to victims of Monday's Boston Marathon attack.
I will DONATE $100 for EVERY pass I catch next season to whatever "Boston Marathon Relief Fund" there is. And $200 for any dropped pass. Many NFL players joined athletes from other sports in tweeting their thoughts and prayers to victims of the attack. The Patriots signed Amendola to a five-year, $31 million free-agent contract after they lost Wes Welker to the Denver Broncos. Amendola spent his four NFL seasons with the St. Louis Rams. |
What if he goes down with a season ending injury in the preseason?
he should donate $100 evertime a camera shows Bill not smiling.
1,000 dollars for every game he missed due to injury?
It won't end up being much.
So if he catches 60 balls, he donates 6,000? Out of an income over $6 million? Is that really supposed to impress anyone?
Wes Welker disapproves of this kind act.
It figures, the guy gets shit on for trying to do something nice.

His best year was 2010. So if he can match those numbers.....and I'm assuming that his targets minus his catches will be drops....because I'm not looking elsewhere for that stat.
85 catches - $8,500 38 drops - $7,600 Total: $16,100 He should have thrown something in for TDs. Like $1000 a TD. |
When did $16,000 become not much money?
Props to him. The complainers are losers. |
