Was this guy an idiot, especially considering where he plays, and the timing of what he said? Absolutely. But ask yourself this - why did he apologize? Was it because he suddenly feels terrible about offending a bunch of queers, or because he is in fear of losing his extremely well-paying job? There is nothing on earth quite so disingenuous as a forced celebrity apology. He thinks what he thinks, right or wrong. If anything, all this crap he's having to endure will probably just make it worse.
