This team will be tough to beat when they aren't playing like they did in the 1st half.

They'll come around. You have to remember there are 10 new players on this team. It's going to take some time to gel. That being said they have to hit these close shots and Pressey needs to set guys up and quit taking so many shots.

Looking better in the 2nd half.

I agree, it's gonna take this team some time to gel. We've got Pressy, Dixon (not playing tonight) and Bowers (didn't play last year) and a crap ton of talented new guys. This is what these games are for.

My fault, but y'all misunderstood me. I wasn't saying they are by any means. They were at the time playing about as poorly as a Division I team can possibly play. When I said "looks like" I meant literally right then and there.

Yes.

freshman look good...

petegz28 11-13-2012 09:08 PM

Ok, now, imagine if they played like this the entire game. I'm excited for the day they start getting some good chemistry.

Imagine this team with our 2 best scorers...Dixon & Brown. Brown is arguably our best pure shooter & scorer and of course Dixon is one of the best guards in the country..

The 2nd half was awesome. So much talent. We had 54 boards! Our weakness for so many years is now a strength. 10 blocks too!

Oh and Jankovic's dunk>>>

eazyb81 11-13-2012 09:29 PM

Jankovic and Webster-Chan look a lot better than I expected. We may get some very valuable minutes from them this year.

Wish Flip had more than 2 assists against Alcorn State.

I wouldn't go quite that far on Dixon but he is good.

I think the players that will be the most commanding this year are Flip, Bowers, Oriaki, Bell, Brown and Russel.

petegz28 11-13-2012 09:32 PM

Bowers pretty much just said that Haith chewed their ass big time at the half.
