Veach working!

Strongside 03-13-2018 06:19 AM

Hell yes.

CrossCheck 03-13-2018 06:20 AM

Very nice

Sassy Squatch 03-13-2018 06:20 AM

#20 LB on PFF. Cool beans.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-13-2018 06:24 AM

Oh damn!

staylor26 03-13-2018 06:25 AM

Wow Veach is so ****ing aggressive

Direckshun 03-13-2018 06:25 AM

Really good signing.

Narrow our defensive needs down to “every position except ILB” now...

No kidding. Yowzer.

Chargem 03-13-2018 06:26 AM

Exactly what was needed too. I can't post links but his 2017 highlights on youtube show him stuffing the run in dominant fashion against a lot of good teams/backs

Pasta Little Brioni 03-13-2018 06:27 AM

25 years old 80 plus PFF grade. Veach loading up young talent!

Sassy Squatch 03-13-2018 06:27 AM

LMAO if we can somehow pull Fuller/Trumaine out of the hat as well...

RunKC 03-13-2018 06:27 AM

Love the shit out of this move. **** yes!

Chargem 03-13-2018 06:29 AM

Would have thought that puts us out of the running for a big name CB though?

Nope

Gravedigger 03-13-2018 06:30 AM

Solid FA pickups, now just address the lines, pass rush and secondary and we should be golden.

I guess it depends on the cap hits this year. Still need to sign a couple of cheap DL guys though and probably re-sign KPL and RNR.

redfan 03-13-2018 06:33 AM

I'm ****ing giddy!!

Mother****erJones 03-13-2018 06:37 AM

KC is signing 25 year old FAs. Keep that in mind

Pretty sure we are going to make nice moves on the DL and secondary. Wsy too much smoke out there.

The older Fuller is 26....i think he's the next target. Though the Bears can match.

the ONLY reason Veach signed this guy is to try and shut you up!

BlackHelicopters 03-13-2018 06:39 AM

If he would give me a reach around, I’d let Veach ass **** me.

Chiefnj2 03-13-2018 06:41 AM

Excellent signing. Should help the defense. Will add excitement until the first round of the playoffs when Andy shits the bed.

Alex Smith is in Washington now.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-13-2018 06:43 AM

This is our 3-down ILB

ChiTown 03-13-2018 06:43 AM

Love this signing, like a lot

what makes you say that?

Mother****erJones 03-13-2018 06:48 AM

With no first rounder, KC needed this

raybec 4 03-13-2018 06:49 AM

Hitchens and Ragland should make a damn fine pair on the inside.

Chargem 03-13-2018 06:50 AM

Just need an injection of quality on the line and the front 7 is looking in decent shape.

carcosa 03-13-2018 06:52 AM

Sounds good 3 me

Because he’s rangy and excels in coverage. For as good as Ragland is, I’ve told people all offseason that we need a true WILB because I don’t think they see him as that.

This confirms it.

Mecca 03-13-2018 06:56 AM

Ragland is going into the role he should be in, the thumper who comes out in pass downs.

oldman 03-13-2018 06:57 AM

I'm totally in on this signing, or expected signing. Give me someone that's not afraid to lay some people out. More LBs!!

Hoover 03-13-2018 06:59 AM

Look, we are going to have some holes on this team, but damn I love these two signings, especially this one. Frankly didn’t see it coming.

kccrow 03-13-2018 07:12 AM

I really like this signing. I thought Chicago's ILB Chrisitian Jones would be cheaper, but I have zero problems with fixing that shit front 7.

Chargem 03-13-2018 07:15 AM

I'm okay with the Dline being the hole this year if we draft aggressively to try and improve it cheaply going into next year.

If we get a big name CB I would be going Dline Safety Dline first three picks.

With Ragland and Hitchens we're much better vs. the run.

I know our DL and secondary need help but we just buffed the middle of our LB's. If K-Pass and Ford can just combine to be respectable replacing Hali we're fine at LB...

pugsnotdrugs19 03-13-2018 07:24 AM

IowaHawkeyeChief 03-13-2018 07:30 AM

As a Hawkeye, my favorite position being LB and my favorite number being 59, this is my new favorite player on the Chiefs. I will be getting his Jersey.

HemiEd 03-13-2018 07:30 AM

Great signing, Veach has my approval on everything so far. :D

pugsnotdrugs19 03-13-2018 07:33 AM

5-year deal per Terez.

Probably an extremely low cap hit this year. Maybe $2-3M.

Wow...

Mecca 03-13-2018 07:40 AM

I honestly wonder if this team will pursue Suh because that would be a game changer.

Geoff Schwartz was just interviewed on the Dan Patrick show, he expects the Chiefs to sign Star Lotulelei on defense in addition to Hutchins. He seemed pretty plugged in.

That is probably a much more affordable signing.

Buffalo got him

Lotulelei just agreed with Buffalo

Hoover 03-13-2018 07:48 AM

Oh well. Thrilled about Hitchens.

BleedingRed 03-13-2018 07:49 AM

Called it

BleedingRed 03-13-2018 07:50 AM

P.S. He is a great LBer

Iconic 03-13-2018 07:50 AM

This guy better be the second coming of Bobby Wagner because that's exactly how he's getting paid.

Jesus Veach what the ****.

Calm down. If you want good players in FA you have to pay the going rate. I'm kind of suprised that we spent money on Defense, but glad we did. Means they have a ton of faith in Mahomes.

Ragland already wears #59.

I doubt Hitchins gets it unless Ragland decides to change his number

O.city 03-13-2018 07:57 AM

That's a lot of cash. I'm not excited.

alpha_omega 03-13-2018 07:58 AM

I think i'm more excited about this one than the other one.

RunKC 03-13-2018 07:58 AM

I bet that when the Chiefs watched the Cowboys shut down Kareem Hunt, they watched the tape and immediately put this guy on their FA wish list.

Veach said they had meetings 6 months ago about FA

JoeyChuckles 03-13-2018 07:59 AM

I'm hitching my wagon to Hitchens.

We basically traded Hali and is $$$ for Hitchens.

Only we have reason to suspect Hitchens will be far more productive...

Why? It’s about the same as Albert Wilson just received.

True.

Plus it looks like they're wanting to get away from the safety at ILB thing maybe?

They definitely aren’t paying Hitchens this much to come off the field on 3rd downs.

With his speed and fluidity he'll take what was historically the DJ role in sub packages. Or at least he CAN, and that's my guess...

mcaj22 03-13-2018 08:05 AM

i think this is a good deal, you get him for his 25-30 years. Prime front 7 talent. Anytime you can upgrade your front seven with athletic talent that has proven they can play at the NFL level is a plus.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-13-2018 08:05 AM

He’s here to play WILB, DJ’s old slot. No question.
