The fact that the Chiefs aren't planning to franchise tag Bowe allows me to hope that Branden Albert should be here next year, even if there are health concerns.

If they are worried about his back they can franchise him, and it's essentially getting a one year deal with the hope of a longer term solution later.

Remember....these are the same fans that think Dorsey/Reid can do no wrong.

This is the "Dorsey is a paid professional and I trust his evaluations...." crowd.

Bowe has had some bad drops, but every receiver has them at times.

He is a legitimate #1 WR in this league. If they sign him I will be very pleased. Imagine all of the YAC he will get with Geno LEADING him with the ball. drool.

You don't need free agency to start to have something better, something more concrete being walked around the league and paraded. "The Chiefs might sign dwayne bowe" is nothing new, nothing to tweet about. That was a ratings tweet, and it worked. Well played Ian, but everybody in KC already knew we "might" sign Dwayne Bowe. He's priority #2 this off season, with Albert being #1.

Also, you don't need free agency to be under way to have trade talk or info on trades, and with the whole Foles/Alex Smith/Kolb rumors floating around everywhere, there's always that possibility too, from a PR/News standpoint.
