Royals face the Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington for a four game series.

The last time the Royals faced the Rangers was Jul 28 - 31 and were swept all for games.

The Royals are currently 7-7. The Rangers are struggling at 5-10, last in the AL West.

Rangers: Andrew Cashner (5.06 ERA)

I don't know what options Orlando has left, but he has been bad this year. Hitting and fielding. I can't wait to see some of the younger outfield guys get a shot.

I get it. You don't have to yell at me about it. I thought we should've had Whit up here from the beginning. They obviously seem pretty bent on force feeding him in there though. If they don't send him down when Soler comes up then I don't know what we're going to do. He's just going to have to learn to hit. There's a difference between hitting .100 and slumping and hitting .100 and just looking lost, and right now he just looks lost.

This has been bad baseball to watch lately.

Eh, pitcher wins stats are irrelevant. He pitches like this all year, what, 4 runs in 28 innings? He could only win 10 and still be in CY consideration

Yeah but this pitching staff is also playing WAY over their heads.

IIRC our rotation of Shields, Ventura, Vargas, Guthrie and Duffy was pretty electric during our 10 game winning streak in 2014.

Hosmer has been one of the worst players in baseball in his last like 200 abs.

I laughed so hard when I saw that Hosmer was batting clean up for Team USA in the WBC. At least he hit pretty well during that thing. He's NOT a clean up hitter though. Not even on an average team.
