Burger King Thinks Mac N' Cheetos Is Something You Might Eat

Burger King is out of control and doesn’t care who it hurts. Being tested in select markets and soon rolling out nationwide, Mac N’ Cheetos are deep-fried macaroni and cheese sticks with Cheetos breading. To put it in old, worn-out meme terms, they heard you liked cheese, so they put cheese in their cheese. Also macaroni. Whatever. They’re basically Burger King’s answer to Taco Bell’s Doritos Locos Tacos, born of a partnership between BK and Frito-Lay. Unlike the Doritos Locos Tacos, which have become a mainstay of Taco Bell’s menu, the Mac N’ Cheetos are a limited release, lasting eight weeks or while supplies last. That should give people plenty of time to make bad decisions. Speaking to Bloomberg, Burger King North American president (how can a king have a president?) Alex Macedo threatens that this will not be the last collaboration between fast food royalty and big snack chip.

“We’re working on a few other menu items,” Macedo said. “There’s room for us to do more together in the future.”

Snacktaku guess this means it will have to go to Burger King for the first time since those hot dogs came out earlier this year.

It doesn't look or sound appealing on the surface.
But if they pull off a decent crispy Cheeto exterior with a decent creamy mac'n'cheez inside, I could think of worse snacks.
Seems like quality would vary wildly

Damn. I thought doritos tacos would be the pinnacle of stoner treats from fast food places. Guess this has proven me wrong.

Tried my first Doritos taco yesterday [NBA freebie]. It wasn't bad, but the Dorito coating was more a distraction from their standard taco.

I wouldn't throw one away in protest, but I'd never pay extra for the privilege.

The one time I ate one of those I found myself wishing I had a bag of Doritos instead.

I hadn't been in TB for a while. I honestly don't know how they stay in business.

They used to sell shitty food cheap. Now they sell the same shitty food for as much or more than decent, well prepared stuff.

I remember when the Gordita went from the $.99 menu to $1.39. Now a single basic Gordita [ground beef] is $3 EFFING .50. Much more than triple the price in just a few years.

Now I'm scared to go into a White Castle. Their tiny shitty burgers are probably $8 apiece at that rate.
