Because it was dead. Herm started the Chiefs were contenders. He ended as a Herm team. Franchise Killer Pioli took over a 2-14 joke of a team and left it a 2-14 joke of a team.

Plus it was my first go around at pure suck. I missed the pre-Marty days so I was painfully unaware of how awful that level of suck felt.

Yes, technically Pioli was worse. I guess. It’s like AIDS is worse than gonorrhea. Pioli was worse but I was numb to it. Herm did the damage. By the time Pioli came around I was checked out. At least in terms of thinking the franchise wasn’t snakebit.

At one point there was a filter that added "Franchise Killer" between Scott and Pioli. That works for me.
