He didn't fall in love with her. He just said that to lure in Deathstroke.

kcxiv 05-15-2014 01:21 AM

Honestly i think the only chick he ever really loved is/was Laurel. Sara was just convenience. He might have cared for her, but i dont think that was love.

Felicity i think he does like, but he's just holding back. lol

Yep. They made it so clear that it almost descended into "subtle like a hammer" territory, with flashbacks to the cameras he knew were there and to putting the syringe in her hand and then having them talk about it on the island at the end. Made it clear as day that they have a working relationship, which is a good thing on a show like this, to have males and females who don't automatically and instantly fall into bed together.

Thats only because Oliver doesnt want it. Felicity has already told him how she feels about him. Its not a big secret.

im watching it right now! lol so far so good.

Mojo Jojo 06-26-2014 12:26 AM

My daughter just got into watching Arrow, so I'm still in catch up. One of the first comments I made was did they purposely make Felicity look like a young Stephanie March? (Law & Order SVU and Mrs. Bobby Flay). Showed my daughter a pic of Stephanie in SVU and she did a total double take.

kcxiv 06-26-2014 01:09 AM

NO idea who Stephanie march is, but i guess its possible.

The Flash pilot was pretty cool. A bit Cheesy, but i think thats how they are going with this. We will see if it changes a bit. Arrow is cheesy then it gets very serious and dark at times.

007 06-26-2014 10:33 PM

Ollie loves every woman he ever meets. All of them apparently also love him. But he can't be with them because it's too dangerous. Although he meets up with them everywhere and has them do shit for him to help hunt down dangerous criminals. But no ****ing! That would be too dangerous for them.

Ollie+Felicity OTP

This show has gotten a lot better and seems to have settled down and find and stick with what's good and what works. A lot of the first season was really over-melodramatic and seemed to be trying too hard. It almost seemed like they started off with the Nolan-approach of being ASHAMED of being based off comic books so they wanted to make everything uber "realistic" and dark and emo but now they're confident enough to greet it with open arms with having Ollie less uptight, more open to bringing in more comic book references, etc.

I hope they manage to get Nightwing on this show at some point, they would never get rights to do Bats but Nightwing can be Arrow's link to Gotham and Batman who doesn't need to be explicitly referenced like how they did it in Smallville. Of course, Ollie is supposed to be super young and is roughly the same age as Bats starting out so you could argue that Dick is supposed to be a little kid at this point.. except Roy is more or less the same age as Dick if not younger so they can have Dick be the same age as Roy, just reference that he's been in the business for a lot longer than even Ollie at this point (which would be pretty interesting in how they interact with eachother)

Didn't really like this episode. Ollie is supposed to be the most liberal/politically-inclined hero and yet they basically made him a cop crony, teargas bombing riots, making it a point to stop the hackers before they even showed their intentions etc. I like that Laurel's story is finally getting some traction but I'm really bored with Thea because she's largely useless and uninteresting (looks like maybe they're setting her up to be Katana?)

Yeah that's kind of weak but who knows what they might pull off before then. In the earlier seasons they showed she has some basic martial arts knowledge from her dad. In the comics Canary II trains with Shiva and is considered one of the best martial artists in the entire world, even up there with Batman.

Ragged Robin 12-04-2014 12:22 AM

Pretty cool crossover, the Flash yesterday was kind of weak though. You can tell they're still hanging their hats on "Batman/Superman-lite" except Flash brings a different dynamic in that he's also kind of a smartass on top of being light hearted. Ollie should also have a touch of that like he does in the comics too instead of a traumatized Bruce-wannabe like he is in the show. Arrow is best when they breathe a little life into it and don't take themselves too seriously.

Also was disappointed that they didn't capitalize on the opportunity to get rid the sleeves when his suit is altered at the end.

Oh yeah and according to the mid-season finale trailer they're taking the Batman pastiche thing to new levels with the shirtless sword duel with Ras al Ghul  Really guys? No shame. Can't even pass off as a pastiche anymore, it's pretty blatant.

(and yes, the way they pronounce it is wrong according to the creator of the character, should be "Raysh" instead of "Raz")

Thats because the flash is brand new still. Still alot of time to develop charqacters, see the real bad guys. We are all waiting for that, Arrow is in its 3rd season, we seen all kinds of shit happen. I still enjoy the hell out of it, but yeah right now the Flash is just fresh.

I never wanted to watch gotham. Did not see anything in it. It is also dumb it does not share in the dc tv universe. I guess a little to be expected since technically it is in the past.

Agents of shield though. Sucked for most of the first season. The end and season 2 have been enjoyable. It got real close to being deleted though.

Thought they did a nice job keeping the show going for a week without the titular character any more involved than in flashbacks. Harder to buy Laurel in the canary costume right now, though. For whatever reason Caity Lotz just had more presence in costume. Although that was basically all we saw of her, whereas with Katie Cassidy we have to get past three years of courtroom scenes and AA meetings. So it's a tougher sell.

The tougher sell is Canary is supposed to be one of the greatest hand to hand fighters in the DC universe and Laurel had a few boxing lessons.

It's not the DC universe. It's the tv arrowverse. Things are never going to match up in that sense. It's just a completely different thing with its own history and rules.

Just wait until CBS has their supergirl show (set in the same tv universe, we may actually have cross-network crossovers). IIRC they can't even mention the name superman. Or the city of metropolis.
