Great finale. Glad they didn't do any cliffhanger.

My only beef, quit having him fall in love with every female. Makes him come off as a bitch.

Honestly i think the only chick he ever really loved is/was Laurel. Sara was just convenience. He might have cared for her, but i dont think that was love.
Felicity i think he does like, but he's just holding back. lol |

WOW that has the "The Flash" pilot already up. If you wanna watch it 4 months early. |

im watching it right now! lol so far so good.
|
My daughter just got into watching Arrow, so I'm still in catch up. One of the first comments I made was did they purposely make Felicity look like a young Stephanie March? (Law & Order SVU and Mrs. Bobby Flay). Showed my daughter a pic of Stephanie in SVU and she did a total double take.
|
NO idea who Stephanie march is, but i guess its possible.
The Flash pilot was pretty cool. A bit Cheesy, but i think thats how they are going with this. We will see if it changes a bit. Arrow is cheesy then it gets very serious and dark at times. |
Yeah, I think I will enjoy this one too.
Spoiler!

John Barrowman....Alex Kingston...what was David Tennant too busy to be in this show?

I said they literally make him love every female.. Good start of the season.
|
Ollie loves every woman he ever meets. All of them apparently also love him. But he can't be with them because it's too dangerous. Although he meets up with them everywhere and has them do shit for him to help hunt down dangerous criminals. But no ****ing! That would be too dangerous for them.

Ollie+Felicity OTP
This show has gotten a lot better and seems to have settled down and find and stick with what's good and what works. A lot of the first season was really over-melodramatic and seemed to be trying too hard. It almost seemed like they started off with the Nolan-approach of being ASHAMED of being based off comic books so they wanted to make everything uber "realistic" and dark and emo but now they're confident enough to greet it with open arms with having Ollie less uptight, more open to bringing in more comic book references, etc. I hope they manage to get Nightwing on this show at some point, they would never get rights to do Bats but Nightwing can be Arrow's link to Gotham and Batman who doesn't need to be explicitly referenced like how they did it in Smallville. Of course, Ollie is supposed to be super young and is roughly the same age as Bats starting out so you could argue that Dick is supposed to be a little kid at this point.. except Roy is more or less the same age as Dick if not younger so they can have Dick be the same age as Roy, just reference that he's been in the business for a lot longer than even Ollie at this point (which would be pretty interesting in how they interact with eachother) |
Solid ep. Awesome ending teaser.

Didn't really like this episode. Ollie is supposed to be the most liberal/politically-inclined hero and yet they basically made him a cop crony, teargas bombing riots, making it a point to stop the hackers before they even showed their intentions etc. I like that Laurel's story is finally getting some traction but I'm really bored with Thea because she's largely useless and uninteresting (looks like maybe they're setting her up to be Katana?)

^siiiick (not sure bout the police baton/night stick though.. lol)
This episode ("Guilty") was really ****ing good. Probably the best written episode in the entire series, they were hitting on all cylinders. Also, Quote:
EDIT: OH YEAH AND THE ****IGN BOXING GLOVE ARROW? hands down the best episode period. |
I really like this show, but am I really supposed to believe that a couple of months of boxing lessons and Laurel is good to go as the Black Canary?

So apparently we're getting an Arrow/Flash crossover on Dec. 2 and 3.

Pretty cool crossover, the Flash yesterday was kind of weak though. You can tell they're still hanging their hats on "Batman/Superman-lite" except Flash brings a different dynamic in that he's also kind of a smartass on top of being light hearted. Ollie should also have a touch of that like he does in the comics too instead of a traumatized Bruce-wannabe like he is in the show. Arrow is best when they breathe a little life into it and don't take themselves too seriously.
Also was disappointed that they didn't capitalize on the opportunity to get rid the sleeves when his suit is altered at the end. Oh yeah and according to the mid-season finale trailer they're taking the Batman pastiche thing to new levels with the shirtless sword duel with Ras al Ghul  Really guys? No shame. Can't even pass off as a pastiche anymore, it's pretty blatant. (and yes, the way they pronounce it is wrong according to the creator of the character, should be "Raysh" instead of "Raz") <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2TeSI9Sof3Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I enjoyed the Flash half more than the Arrow half, but they were both good.
One thing really bothered me: they came from Central City to bring Felicity the DNA information. And then that was dropped for the rest of the hour. |

Next year at this time, it might be a little different. |

Not a surprise as it's (I think) their highest-rated show, but renewed for fall 2015.
|
meh. I hate how this show gets way too full of itself and dramatic. I thought it would at least hark on some Battle for the Cowl notes but we mostly just got teary eyed monologues of each character on the show
|
Thought they did a nice job keeping the show going for a week without the titular character any more involved than in flashbacks. Harder to buy Laurel in the canary costume right now, though. For whatever reason Caity Lotz just had more presence in costume. Although that was basically all we saw of her, whereas with Katie Cassidy we have to get past three years of courtroom scenes and AA meetings. So it's a tougher sell.

Diggle just running around with a leather jacket shooting people bothers me.. they're so keen on covering their faces so that they aren't recognized and yet he doesn't even have a hood ROFL
I also wanted to see Roy step up to the plate with Ollie being gone.. he was just like "oh noes we can't do this without him /cry" |

Just wait until CBS has their supergirl show (set in the same tv universe, we may actually have cross-network crossovers). IIRC they can't even mention the name superman. Or the city of metropolis. |
Speaking of Supergirl, here she is:
http://media.aintitcool.com/media/up...anding_big.jpg That would be Melissa Benoist from Glee. Which I've never watched. But she's certainly an attractive young woman. |
