Print your own gun

Interesting article about guys giving away plans for guns assembled from parts created in a 3D printer.

Which CPer will be the first?

"If 24-year-old University of Texas law student and part-time revolutionary Cody Wilson has his way, every human being in the United States, whether old or young, licensed or unlicensed, will soon be able to make a fully functioning, perfectly lethal gun in the comfort of their very own living rooms, for less than the cost of a few drinks."

A few people on another forum I visit, have been experimenting with these. Reportedly it holds up well. Hopefully the technology is not stopped dead in it's tracks but pussified liberal legislators adopting bullshit anti-constitutional legislation, sadly it probably will be.

Obama is going to confiscate all our printers.....

Valiant 11-13-2012 09:22 AM

Really, on my phone so I did not se your video posted? But, from what I haveread unless they come up with a miracle material the material breaks after one or two shots when chambered and shot, because it cannot withstand the pressure.

Now for everything else on the gun it would work. To keep prices down. Hell I. Priced one of the printers last month, just seem soo fun.

There is also a artist coop in kc that has one.

I'd be afraid of the damn thing blowing up in my hands. I'll stick to traditionally made guns for now.

TimeForWasp 11-13-2012 09:35 AM

Print out something that is supposed to blow up in your hand, like a grenade.

I love the future.

Frazod 11-13-2012 09:37 AM

I'd be all over this if I knew it could create a reliable AR lower that would hold up long term.

So, a Cannon printer?

T-post Tom 11-13-2012 09:52 AM

Revolutionaries printing their own guns with money from anonymous foreign investors. Yeah, nothing could go wrong with that.

BlackHelicopters 11-13-2012 09:53 AM

Guns are great.

TimeForWasp 11-13-2012 09:55 AM

Reminds me of a roadrunner cartoon for some reason.

Groves 11-13-2012 10:20 AM

From the article, they're printing mostly lowers, because that's where the cost savings are highest. It's also the part most regulated.

Not sure if they've been printing uppers.

A Salt Weapon 11-13-2012 10:31 AM

I haven't heard of any uppers being printed, just lowers.

Dayze 11-13-2012 10:35 AM

guns don't kill people; printers do.
and sodas larger than 16oz.
