Breaking Up With Comcast

Check out this phone call when a guy simply wants to cancel his Comcast Service. Brutal.

I have Comcast, and their tech support is God Awful. Just the worst. The only company with worse customer service is The Kansas City Star.

Yikes.

Hard to be worse than Verizon

AndChiefs 07-16-2014 09:38 AM

I've never dealt with worse than Comcast. I had a minor technical issue (which I already knew the fix for!) and it took at least six hours on the phone before I could get it taken care of.

I opened the first call with, "Hey, this is the issue. This is what you need to do." and they replied "First, could you please reset your modem?"

Idiots.

Comcast is Comcast

I kind of like this guy.

Hard to beat TWC cable unhooking my Google Fiber and zip tying the box on the outside of my house because Google used some of their existing coaxial when I switched.

As a former tech support CSR......we had a list that we were REQUIRED to go through. It didn't matter if the customer knew what they were doing or not.

If you were stupid enough to subscribe to Comcast and The KC Star in the first place you are getting everything you deserve, dumbass.

You, apparently, have never dealt with Cox Cable.

Actually, I never have had many problems with Cox on a residential side. Business side is a different thing however.

Oh I know. I was more calling Comcast idiots. Not the rep.

Although I shouldn't have had to call several times about the same issue as it should have been resolved on the first call when I knew the issue.

Par for the course. I was able to cancel my centurylink service recently with just a few no thank yous, so it wasn't as bad as I expected.

Just tell them you're moving and the new place doesn't have their service.

A lot of places can tell you if they have your service or not at the new address.

I had a HUGE issue with AT&T because we were moving to a new house and they told me that I could get their DSL service out there. Installer shows up....and no go....can't get service out there. He leaves and I call in to the office and they swear up and down that I can get service out there. Same shit happens again. Finally they figured out that they couldn't get service out at my house. ****ing idiots.

I've had nothing but nightmares on both sides.
