Possibly the best burger I`ve ever eaten localy.
 

Good friend of mine , Navy Vet, and all around great guy opened up a small cafe in KCK on 14th and Minnesota named "Johnny Jukes." Please allow me to shamelessly promote my buddies place. Johnny`s serves the best burgers in town, home cut fries (cut right in-front of you) and get this...KOOL AID! lol.

Johnny`s has a lunch, breakfast, and dinner menu . His specialty item is his hand patted half pound burger, served with home cut fries, but he also makes a damn good home made chicken sausage, chicken and waffles, and other tasty items! If you happen to find yourself near Johnny's It`s worth a stop.

saw an episode of man vs food from kc. had me all kinds of wanting to go down there just for the food. THE BBQ looked amazing.

Yes..but not the one in the picture :thumb: The picture is of Johnny himself. Am I biased ? I don't think so. Everyone I sent his way agreed with me ; one of the best burgers in town.

Tell him him Big Nate sent you! He closes early on Saturday; usually about 4pm.

What we really need is the best tenderloin. When people swoon over the garbage that is Hy-Vee's tenderloin. You know it's a need.

Nothing is better than a late night Town Topic burger after a long night of drinking.

when I was a lil feller in the UP (upper peninsula) I spent the night with a friend and they had fried chicken for dinner.....and they passed around honey to put on the fried chicken. damndest thing I'd ever seen in all of my 8 years of life....but that shit was GOOD!

I've always thought Flea Market burgers tasted a little odd, so I've taken to getting the grilled chicken sammich there. it is velly velly goot.

Best one i've had around here (KC) was at The Brick on 17th and Mcgee. I saw the place on triple D and went there a few weeks ago. It's a carolina burger. Topped with chili and carolina style slaw. It's killer.

Man, 14th and Minnesota is a rough part of town. No wonder he closes at 4pm....

I just don't feel like a place that sells kool-aid is going to make it that long...

Hi Boy just a block north of US 40 and Blue Ridge, by Sports Nutz. Old school drive up hamburger joint. Double Cheeseburger big, greasy, size of your head. Italian Steak is great too. I used to LOVE their onion rings until I cracked not one, but TWO molars on them. Haven't had one since. Chocolate shake is the best in the city.

There's three Hi-Boys in Independence. 40 and Blue Ridge, MO Hwy 291 and Gudgell, and US 24 and River.

There's also another great burger joint on US 40 about a half mile east of the Blue Ridge Wal Mart called Big Boy Burger. Been there since early 1960's. They also have big tasty burgers and onion rings that won't break your teeth.

Big Boy Burger is AMAZING - I lived off Truman and Blue Ridge in Cimarron/Stone Arch apts for about 6 months until I realized every was cooking meth or crack...

Wasn't there very long, but I totally ate the **** out of some Big Boy steakburgers.

Another good burger in town most people don't know about is Hi-Boy - there's one across from the stadium, by Sports Nutz....just figured I'd throw that one out there in case no one had heard about it.

Great food.

Awesome. Johnny is a great guy..he even opens up on his day off for "VIP" customers. It's a dive joint-but clean and friendly. I dont drink Kool aid that much , but it's a great combo: burger, fries and Kool-aid!

Do we all have to pretend Westport Flea Market has great burgers because we are from Kansas City or can we all just be honest with ourselves.
