Game of Thrones.
Might try Longmire.
Band of Brothers

I'm a huge fan of Burn Notice and White Collar.

The Bunny Ranch

Girls and Veep are pretty good.

Drop the anti-network bias and check out Parks & Rec, Community, 30 Rock, and early seasons of The Office if you haven't seen them.

Original British version of The Office is great and very dark, and Extras is pretty good too.

I like a more humorous show

Leverage-TNT
Like Oceans 11 every week.
Not intense. Has good humor.

Royal Pains-USA
Necessary Roughness-USA

Justified. HTF does someone miss that show?

I guess the same way I missed Deadwood for what, 8 years?

Matter of fact, the only shows on my list that I actually started watching at the time of premiere were The Sopranos, Archer, House of Lies and Boardwalk Empire.

The rest were all started a season or two into their airing. Or in the case of Deadwood, 8 years after the fact.

I've always enjoyed Californication. Duchovny is brilliant in that show. This last season started out rather slow but finished strong.

Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead should both be added to your list.

Edit: Also The League

From the makers of Archer, Frisky Dingo. Its an odd type of humor but if you liked Archer you will love it. I still don't know why anyone hasn't made a keyboard ant farm yet...

Someone said Damages

Also, network, but How I Met Your Mother is great.

I have to fully disagree.

It was entertaining for the first few seasons but it's been a complete cluster**** since 2010, if not 2009.

The writers continue to drag out the story line, there's very little humor left and the characters have grown very stale.

Laugh tracks suck.

I would say Justified, Terriers, Battlestar Galactica and Six Feet Under. Also, if you enjoyed the dialogue of Deadwood, you might like Luck. Like Terriers, it only lasted one season, and I don't think there was much of a following for Luck, but I love the worlds Milch creates and was sad to see it go.

Luck was shut down because of the death of two horses. Also, there were claims of drugging and abusing the horses.

Good call. This is one of my top five. Looking forward to seeing how the new season plays out.

I highly recommend Rome. It probably fell right between the Sopranos and The Wire for me. This might be a biased opinion due to my love of history, but I'm positive the show is excellent on its own merits.
