I'm guessing it was Sunn O))). They did show a band member right when the song came on. Sounds like them

As for High on Fire. They just released their N American headlining tour dates. If you get the chance GO SEE THEM!!!!!!!!

While they don't necessarily fit into this thread, Primate is indeed the shit. I've got a reminder set for that KC show.

Really? The stuff right before and right after the song I'm talking about sounds more like Sunn O))) to me. For a second, I thought it might be off the Earth album that they showed briefly ("Hex; Or Printing In The Infernal Method") since it had that more mellow clean guitar sound but I can't find it there.

The song starts right when Stephen O'Malley comes on-screen. Right after him is a guitar player with short hair and beard - who is that guy? Because I think that might be it.

Maybe Dead Meadow?

HOF recently put out an official vid. Cheesy After Effects compositing but still entertaining.

Definitely has that kind of feel to it, yes. I'm listening through some of their stuff now.

Gotta say this re-ignited a lot of old likes for me. Spent the morning listening to Brant Bjork's 99 solo album.

Hey Poz, thanks again.

I got my rig out last night and started recording for the first time in almost 10 years...

Baroness, Mastodon, Kyuss, Kvelertak, Kylesa.

None of those are exactly like The Sowrd, but they're all badass.

I LOVE the Sword! Saw them open for The Sons of Kyuss. Amazing show.

First things first, I found out the tune I'm trying to find was WRITTEN FOR THE MOVIE by a couple of guys that call them ThunderLabs. Unfortunately, it's not available anywhere other than on the movie itself. :(

Anyway, I made a list of bands from the movie to check out and today's selection was Om.

Holy shit, I ended up going in a COMPLETELY different direction than I expected. You should check this one out: "Haqq al-Yaqin"

Om is fucking great! I saw them a couple years ago and they blew me away! The bass has never sounded more evil.

For those who don't know Om's lead singer Al Cisneros was also the lead singer from Sleep along with Matt Pike, now lead singer/guitar for High on Fire.
