Obviously Eric Fisher was driving.

jd1020 08-27-2014 05:14 PM

Perfect time to claim an injury to Aaron Murray and put him on IR.

GloryDayz 08-27-2014 05:16 PM

I'm sure it drew a flag, maybe two...

Baby Lee 08-27-2014 05:17 PM

The bus was called The Lamers?

Because we are the Chiefs.

Bugeater 08-27-2014 05:20 PM

Thanks for posting absolutely none of the story.

Mav 08-27-2014 05:21 PM

sorry. I saw Alex Smith, and lost my ****ing mind.

To the PAPER VALLEY I GO.

The Outagamie Sheriff's Department says it was escorting five buses with the

Kansas City Chiefs on them from the airport when one of the buses was involved in a minor crash.

The Chiefs are in town for a preseason game against the Packers at Lambeau Field Thursday night.

The wreck happened after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of W. College Avenue and Casaloma Drive. Police say a vehicle headed northbound entered the intersection and collided with one of the buses.

Three children and two adults were in the other vehicle. Police say the children were not restrained properly and one of them was taken to the hospital with a minor head laceration.

Nobody on the bus was hurt.
For the record, I work less than a mile from where this happened lol.

this was coming straight from the airport.

It looked to me that he was laughing at Eric Fisher.

My first thought when hearing about this was how many ways CP would run with it. Nice.

I already thought they were headed for a train wreck this season but call it a bus crash if you'd like.

ChiefsCountry 08-27-2014 06:30 PM

I think its interesting that the Chiefs fly out of KCI for all of their road trips, yet the Royals fly out of the Downtown Airport.

A train wreck last week, a bus wreck this week. I hope they don't fly any time soon.

I would like everyone to know that Alex Smith is indeed safe, and securely tucked into his bed.

I have been standing guard at the Radisson Paper Valley in, and this is the report I have.

Thank you.

And good night.

You can only throw so many players under the bus before the damn thing tips over.

NFL rules[edit]

A team may place a player on injured reserve (reserve/injured list) who is "not immediately available for participation with a club". Generally, these players may not practice or return to the Active List for the rest of the season (including postseason games or the Pro Bowl) that they are placed on injured reserve, but are allowed to be with the team.[2]

During the preseason, the league also allows players with long-term, but not season-ending, injuries to be placed into one of two designations: physically unable to perform (PUP), for injuries sustained during the previous season or during training camp, or reserve/non-football injury, for injuries sustained outside of team or league activities (despite the name, this includes lingering injuries from college football play, should an injured player be drafted and join the team. Both designations are functionally identical in that the player can be promoted to the active roster by week 6 of the regular season or placed on injured reserve.

Starting in 2012, the NFL and the NFLPA reached an agreement allowing one player placed on injured reserve to be brought back to the active roster.[3] Provided that the player was on the final 53-man preseason roster (A rule exempted for the 2012 season), and that the injury is deemed to keep this player unable to practice or play football for an estimated six weeks, the player may be allowed to practice after Week 6, and be activated to play after Week 8.[4]

Teams may also place a player on injured reserve with a minor injury designation, but the team must release the player once he is healthy.[5]
Not sure why we want to put him on IR and not have him be able to practice all year.

He can rehab his knee fully, and basically red shirt.

Fisher is still getting acclimated to his new position as bus driver, and hit the gas instead of the brake

no, he just expected that the opposing car would blow right past him

kepp 08-28-2014 12:19 PM

The unrestrained kids in the other car pulled a stunt and confused him.

CapsLockKey 08-28-2014 02:10 PM

Preseason. There won't be any bus accidents during the real games when they quit running the vanilla drivers.
