Maybe they can trade Wallace to get some more pieces

According to a Yahoo! Sports report, Brooklyn has agreed to send three first-round picks (2014, '16 and '18) along with Kris Humphries' expiring contract, Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shengelia, Reggie Evans and a sign-and-traded Keith Bogans to the Celtics for Pierce, Garnett and Jason Terry.

Damn..

JJ, Pierce, and KG are all shells of what they are. Should still be a 3-4 seed in the East, though.

There's no guarantee that Nets team can compete with the Heat... or even the Pacers for that matter. The Celtics are officially sucking for Wiggins.

This is a joke, right?

You think the media and the fans would take LeBron quitting basketball next season well? LMAO

Thats the thing here, they dont need them to play at an all star level. Just play well.

Its gonna be Williams thats running the show on that team. They just need solid play from the older guys and to not make mental mistakes.

Better move for the Celtics than entering the treadmill of mediocrity as KG and Pierce age. I like the trade for Boston.

I only wish the Raptors would do something similar for next year with Wiggins, but it's going to be difficult for Ujuri to gut Colangelo's mess.

mcaj22 06-27-2013 09:16 PM

Sixers also in the suck for Wiggins race now

I cant believe they gave away Jrue Holiday like that

I think what's more compelling is that their depth is decent enough that these guys don't have to play nearly as much. They became incredibly deep overnight.

LeBron quit on his team in the middle of a playoffs.

And yes, quitting on a team after you've finished the job is a hell of a lot different than quitting on it before it's finished. The only people who will care if LeBron left are Miami fans.

Alot will depend on how well Kidd can coach and rest the old guys. I can definitely see the Nets being in the EC Finals next year.

As far as the Celtics go they will be competitive, I think the Kings or 76ers are going to be in the lead for Wiggins.

dirk digler 06-27-2013 09:22 PM

Withey goes to Portland.

okcchief 06-27-2013 09:23 PM

The moves as of late have been pretty ****ing bad. I was really hoping they would deal Ibaka and retool. If Lamb doesnt come up huge we are ****ed as far as winning a title, and KD wiil be gone in 2 years. Good thing I have years of my professional sports teams ****ing me to prepare for this.

:blowsheadoff:

Cant wait for this rebuild celtics :( Gonna tune into some more Brooklyn games to ease the pain

KC_Connection 06-27-2013 09:26 PM

Bill Simmons is ****ing losing it. Can't handle that they traded Pierce away and that his era is over. Fact is, rebuilding is the smart thing to do in their situation.
