So, What's it like to be an Uber driver?
I mean, someone here has to be one. Right?

It's pretty chill. I did it while I was between jobs for a few months our here in LA, and found it fairly rewarding at approx $25/hr. I never drove at night, never had to wait long for my next customer, and had interesting conversation with folks. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who wants to try it!
Now I rent cars out to uber drivers that need a taxi to drive. |
I've thought about doing this but I'm worried about getting mugged or car jacked. Seriously.

If you have a Twitter account, ask @hosienation he might have done Lyft instead but he knows the pros and cons of it all.

I took an Uber in KC about 6 weeks ago and the driver told me that he took a Chiefs player home from a bar in the plaza along with a woman. He got tipped $100 cash and this Chiefs player told the driver that if he would take the woman home in the morning that he would tip him another $100.
So the driver got a text in the morning to come pick her up and he drove the woman home to Lawrence for another $100. |
What the **** is Uber

I've never driven for Uber, but am a frequent Uber rider and know people that drive. Sounds like it depends on your area. Drivers here tell me they can only make their money during peak traffic hours and its not really worth it the rest of the time. A general consensus seems to be to avoid the late night bar crowds due to general drunken dipshittery.
