The difference is Ryan is the only person that sees Wilfred as a person. |

Looks hilarious.

It would be cool to see Ted and Wilford together in a episode.

This move looks ehh. It might be really funny who knows....I know one thing, is that I won't be seeing this in theatres. Don't go to movies at all that much unless it's something that I REALLY want to see like Avengers, Dark Knight Rises etc. It just costs too much to go to the movies. Especially now w/ the 3D Imax stuff, you could be paying around $15-20 for a ticket. Ripoff. Sometimes you have to make a choice and decided just how much is enough.
|
Looks like a blind buy to me. I laughed pretty hard at the previews alone. Could be good.

While alot of big movies are technically making more money than movies from years ago, its because ticket prices are so much higher, not because more tickets are being sold. In fact less tickets are being sold. Alot of smaller, mid range movies for adults are not being made much anymore because people dont go to see them in theaters and they cant jack up the prices with 3D and IMAX. Mosteverything today is marketed and packaged with as much mass market appeal as possible, which in a way, makes it more bland. |
I also think this would be much funnier if Seth McFarlane wasn't the voice over.
His voice is very distinctive. When I hear it I think Family Guy, as do probably most people. I think he should've just been a writer/producer etc, and had someone else do the voice over. |

Looks like fun. I'll have to check it out.

Well, this I didn't expect...
Ebert gives it 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. Quote:

Salon.com also raved about it. I thought they'd call it sophomoric or some shit.
|
Im gonna check this out tonight based on the suprisingly good reviews.
|
I thought this looked funny as hell from the R-rated trailer I saw. For some reason I see Mark Wahlberg being funnier than I ever thought he could be.

This movie was really funny! Highly recommended. Also was a pretty legit story and plot. It wasn't just a bunch of cheap random jokes either. Really good movie.
|
I haven't laughed that much at a movie in a long time. I definitely recommend. "**** you thundaaaar! You can suck my dick!"
|
Yeah, I only caught the first hour, but I liked it and so did the crowd.
|
On a side note, jesus every female in the area went to see Magic Mike FFS it was like a mini-Twilight premiere.
|
Saw Ted earlier. I laughed pretty much the whole time. Plot was predictable in a sense but the laughs and mila kunis made it so worth it.
Recommend, funny stuff |

Great movie, a good time for pretty much anyone who enjoys Seth McFarlanes humor. Sometimes it tries to be funny and just doesn't hit but overall I really enjoyed the acting, story, and the laughs get going early and they come often.
|
Very funny movie I highly recommend it.

"Ted" kicked box-office ass this weekend, going well over $50M for the highest R-comedy ever. "Magic Mike" didn't do too bad, either, getting in the $30Ms.
|
Saw Ted this weekend, funny movie but basically a live action Family Guy.

Movie was funny as hell. I don't think it'll ever be possible for Mila Kunis to not be smoking hot. I want to pick out a Russian mail order bride that looks like her.
|
Can't wait to see this! Hoping maybe this weekend sometime.

Saw it yesterday, and my friend's concern that it'd be a "trailer movie" where all the laughs were revealed already was one I shared as well.
Wrong. It was ****ing hilarious. I'm usually lukewarm on McFarlane's style but he hit the right notes with the movie. Ridiculously awesome cameos, funny pop culture references, and once you suspend the disbelief of a freaking magical talking stuffed animal, the situation became "real". I guess if I had an issue with the movie is I understand the cameos/pop culture jokes might get lost on people, especially people around my age, and the Boston accent kind of seemed forced at times. Unless you are a real stickler for not paying movie ticket prices, it's worth seeing on the screen but 100% certainly worth a watch when it's out on DVD/online. |

If I get raped our here its my fault for wearing this.
Movie was funny. |
For anyone who thought this might be a rip off of Wilfred, you couldn't be more wrong.

i laughed at every scene involving that fat kid, holy shit whoever cast the kid and giovanni ribisi's character should get a high five, perfect "bad guy" comedy roles. |
So, will we see a sequel in 2014?
|
I saw this today.
If you don't think Family Guy is funny, you won't like it. If you do, you'll think its really funny. I got a kick out of it. It's not a masterpiece, but funny. |
This was hilarious, but so totally different than I thought it was going to be.
|
Watched today. Great
|
****ing Topeka and Lawrence...still no Ted.
|
It will be on Netflix before they have it there.

Love Family Guy. Love. It. This had about half a dozen really funny moments, and a whole bunch of meh for me. I know, I'm the minority on this from what I'm reading. I may watch it again when it comes out on DVD to make sure I didn't just miss the boat on it. It's possible. The only copy online was really shitty. Fuzzy, and the sound wasn't great.
|
Nah, I thought it was really meh as well.. And I also love Family Guy.
For a movie that relied on the suspension of logic and common sense to work, it just didn't come across that way. If that makes sense. I have no problems putting my mind in a bottle for 2 hours and watching a silly movie without thinking about why it doesn't make any sense. But something about this one just kinda grated on me in that regard. |
It had its moments. There were some jokes that really were LOL-worthy; it also had some that fell flat. It is live action Family Guy. The thing for me is, Family Guy is contained within a 30-minute segment. I don't care for the Star Wars Family Guy movies - it's too much.
|
One thing that cracked me the **** up was the **** you thunder song. There were some others, but that may have been my favorite.
|
Anything family guy is shit

NBCU’s Steve Burke Says He Wants ‘Ted 2′ “As Soon As We Can”
Sequels and animation are at the top of the agenda for Universal‘s film production – a business that’s “not for the faint of heart” — NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke told analysts today at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference. “We’ve had our ups and downs,” he says. But he hopes to stabilize things by promoting “as many franchises as we can.” He vows that “you’ll see future Bourne films” following the success of The Bourne Legacy. He adds that Universal has “dusted off” its American Pie franchise and “we’d like to see a Ted 2 as soon as we can.” He’s upbeat about upcoming sequels to Despicable Me and Fast And Furious. In addition, Burke says he wants Universal to have more animation. “The key is to go from making one film every 18 months to making two a year.” |
Late to the thread (A Q that defeated it's predecessor, no less).
I thought it was hysterical. I've been wishing for my friends to die of Lou Gehrig disease for weeks now. Though to be honest, the best part wasn't really the movie. Steve Moore (the center for Mizzou) is always out and about in Columbia. We've drank with him a few times and he's just a badass guy. In either event, we saw him come in and sit behind us with some chick. So when they're at the fancy dinner and Wahlburg orders some Cristal and says "Hey, all those rich black guys can't be wrong" Moore just says in the most disgusted voice possible "Man...what the ****!?" I dunno why, it just cracked me the hell up. Steve Moore loved him some asian jokes, etc... for the rest of the movie, but do not disparage black dudes and their affinity for Cristal because Steve Moore will **** you up. |

Finally watched it tonight. It was ok. Had a few ROFL moments. Mainly the Sam Jones /Flash Gordon stuff. That was hilarious to me because I'm also a huge fan of that flick.
I know it's his Schtick, but sometimes Mcfarlane goes overboard with his pop culture jokes. I also felt like there wasn't enough story for a complete movie. The last 30 minuets with the creepo father and son was pretty meh and dragged. |
