It has been a rough year for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. The team lost another close game on Sunday night and mental mistakes doomed the team. This is a team that drops too many passes and commits too many penalties. Not exactly a winning formula. However, it wasn’t the game that sent Jones into a minor tantrum. It was a locked locker room door.

This might seem a bit trivial, but you can see the frustration growing. The team peaked in Week 1, if you can believe that. There is still plenty of time for a turn around but it is getting harder to make a case for that as each week passes. On paper, the team should be fine but simple things keep the team from achieving their goals.

At this rate, there will be a new coach in Dallas at the end of the year. That might be the first crucial step to recovery. However, the most important step will probably never happen. Jones said that his record as a general manager is worth being fired over. He understands it is not his strong suit, but why doesn’t he hire a guy to deal with that? If the Cowboys added a good football guy to the front office, things would change fast.

If the guy could open doors, that would be a plus as well.

Never liked Garrett as a player or coach.

The more Jones makes himself look like an assclown, the happier I am. I think he's a pathetic, self-centered, egomanicial POS.

I went to the game last night. He walked out of the tunnel before the game and walked across the field into the Falcons tunnel. He was within 100 feet of me. He was pretty cool and shook hands with fans in the stands etc. I was wondering why he had to walk across the field and thinking it was weird... LOL

Maybe he'll hire Scott Pioli, they ought to get along great.

He came to Springfield once in some big motorhome thingy. It was outside of a club and he tried to get my sister to come inside. He became irate when she denied.

Doesn't matter if you like or dislike Jerry... Garrett just found himself a quicker pink slip. Lol

Chill out about the Cowboys! They are working hard and they practice hard. Everyone has to do better and they will work on that. They may not know why things are not going so well, but they are going to work on it, dammit!

I just wish we weren't their "farm team."

That interview made me giggle. Hearing Jerry talk about looking in the "mirra". Visions of Jones doing his daily affirmation in the "mirra".

I am, as it is and uh was, good enough, smart enough, football enough, to uh GM the Dallas Cowboys.

Garrett can be the OC of my team any day. He's an OC - not a HC.

I heard they just picked up one of the best DBs in the game.
Something about taking a below market value contract to get away from that 'fail' of a franchise.
