I always learned that black and grey do NOT go with brown shoes. I did not know it was acceptable.

Flannels? I hate flannels. Give me a light shirt and a jacket or coat over freaking flannels. They bind up and are hotter than shit when you are inside. Christ, I just started sweating thinking about it.

While I personally will not mix brown shoes/belt with gray or black, it is acceptable these days. Started with the neckbeard/fedora crowd.

A blue suit with a gray hat is always slick.

Brown with light gray is acceptable. Brown with charcoal is not. at least to me.
