why can't plastics be recycled down and molded as a replacement for typical home building timber?

Price. My buddy has a huge deck that's made of recycled plastic and sawdust molded into timbers, but it was a pricey proposition.

so in other words, if there were as many plastic mills as timber mills it would be as cheap or cheaper? :D

could you imagine how efficient AND durable a greenhouse would be made like this?

I built my deck out of composite as well. Twice the cost and weight, heavy stuff. But I don't have to do any maintenance. The house will fall down before the deck does.

I have used the remnants for a number of other small projects. They work great for bird feeders.

Can he name any of the other laws of thermodynamics?

Yeah I thought so...

I'm helping the March for Science groups get their act together with social media and their website.

https://twitter.com/sciencemarchdc?lang=ms

http://www.scientistsmarchonwashington.com/

Welcome! Thank you for visiting the March for Science website. We are currently under construction.

We want to thank you all for your incredible outpouring of support for this march. We are working to schedule a March for Science on DC and at satellite marches around the world. We're excited to share #ScienceMarch info with you soon!
Although this will start with a march, we hope to use this as a starting point to take a stand for science in politics. Slashing funding and restricting scientists from communicating their findings (from tax-funded research!) with the public is absurd and cannot be allowed to stand as policy. This is a non-partisan issue that reaches far beyond people in the STEM fields and should concern anyone who values empirical research and science.

Please bear with us as pull together our mission statement and further details. Many more updates to come on next week.

Anyone want to take a crack at coming up with a nickname for this galaxy?

God's Paintbrush.

Guess what Dave Lane.
Quantum physics has pretty much proven that the universe doesn't even exist unless it's being observed by a conscious being

Kind of throws all your theories right out the f****** window.

The Salamander Galaxy.

The bottom left cluster being its head, the body going back up towards the right.
