I love mine, but they aren't trail gloves. How do you like them? Heard nothing but good things....

I wasn't crazy about them for street running, prefer Vibrams Five Fingers. But they are absolutely perfect for muddy trail running.

Oh, and according to the final results, I finished right ahead of Casey Wiegmann. Trying to decide if that's good or bad.

ROFL. I didn't do bad, but the run was more difficult than I anticipated.

Do you find out your times once you cross the line...or do you have to wait until the evening once they post all the times online?

They post them the same day on their site. Here are today's: http://warriordash.com/results/2011_...ity_Sat_AG.htm

Not when you cross the finish line. Too many flights overlap. There are some TV's set up near the finish the gives results, but there were always a ton of people huddled around it for me to check. Today's results are already posted on the website.

I finished it today. Unbelievably exhausting! Running on roads is to running on trails what riding a bike with training wheels is to riding a bike. I was sucking wind HARD. Even had to walk for a few parts, which is something I am dead-set against doing. I wasn't too far from the front of my heat and just about everybody around was as well at times.

My advice:

1. Yeah, if you are hard core at all, get to the front of the line before start. (Usual SOP for any race, but probably more important here.)
2. Stop for EVERY water station. I usually skip water on a 5K. But I skipped the first station of this race and regretted the hell out of it.
3. Doubleknot your shoelaces. Otherwise when you run through water and back out again, they will come untied.
4. At the end, when it's time to jump in the mudwater and crawl under barbed wire, don't try to just walk in. Jump in feet first and get down. Everybody who tried to wade in fell on their ass. Plus the cameras are broadcasting you to the whole complex at that point, so you want to look like you are still mean and ready to kill.

Good luck!

Yeah I cannon balled into it..

Thanks for the info guys. I am pumped!

I have done a few marathons, can blow thru 5ks....but I am nervous about gettin hung up in some of these obstacles...mainly the cargo net stuff.

Oh well...

Is it hard to weasel your way towards the front of heats at the beginning or are people dicks and dont let you thru?

If you are athletic at all.. Just run across the cargo net, it is what I did, honestly the obstacles are the easiest imo.. Most people crawl across it.. Pretend it is the tire run..

Sidenote.. I have a tan line of where the medal was on my chest..

Just for the record, if I had attempted this, I think I'd be dead now.

Just got back to Omaha. Stupid ****ers at the parking lot ****ed us over. There was 4 of us on 3 motorcycles and the website had said it was $10 per stall not per vehicle. We were going to just park all three bikes in one stall and pay the $10. They told us we had to pay $30. ****ing douchbags.

As far as the race goes it is muddy, slick and hilly. I ran it at 3:00 yesterday and it was ****ing hot. I was exhausted when I was done. Ran it in 45 minutes which was decent for the 35-39 group. I think I would have done better but I ran it in cut up jeans which were not ideal. Once they got wet it felt like I had a brick around my waistline.
