I think Pioli is here until at least the end of the season. It would be nice to see him gone by tomorrow, but somehow I don't see it. I worry that he will buy himself time by convincing Clark the HC and QB are the problem and replacing both with a shiny new 1st round QB being who replaces Cassel.

i find it hard to believe that Pioli is scouting all these college QBs while getting fired at the same time.

The Hunts were just embarrassed on national television and it had absolutely nothing to do with what happened on the field.

When Marv Albert and Rich Gannon and CBS devote two full consecutive minutes to SOC and the Blackout, all the while pointing out the futility of the team, Clark will have no choice but to act.

When Albert later followed up with the 3-15 home record and the visual of fans leaving in droves to start the 4th quarter, if the Hunt family doesn't get the message, they never will.

I truly believe that SOC fired Scott Pioli today. Congrats, all.

I think how much negative national media coverage the actions of the Chiefs against fans with fire Pioli signs and chants will be the deciding factor in Hunt's decision, so it may not be tomorrow.

Let me clarify a bit: Today was the point of no return. While Pioli might survive the week, he will not survive beyond the end of this season. His tenure as GM was officially ended by the SOC Blackout.

Scott Pioli has potentially fired himself through his own massive incompetence, totalitarian despotism and meglomania.

He created the disaster we are witnessing on the field. All of his hand picked sychophants. His chosen players.

He created the level of disdain in the media that began with Whitlock's first meeting with him when he first got into town and the avalanche of negativity we saw this season from Babb, Whitlock, et al.

He was the reason for the upsurge of antipathy that began here on Chiefs Planet that led to the creation of SOC.

I am positive that we are going to get a new GM, a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator and a first round QB for the first time in 30 years. All because of the incompetence of Pioli.

It's darkest before the dawn, but we do indeed stand upon the precipice of a new era of Chiefs football, waiting for a new sun to rise.

I can say Pioli is going get fired tomorrow too. I can say that after next weeks game too. It's wishful thinking and hope but mostly just saying something that may or may not happen anyones guess is just as good.
