Lol. Oh I do. But the first one was so bad my wife and I started cleaning the bathroom.

I just can't believe this is the third installment in the series.

SAUTO 05-16-2013 08:37 PM

I didn't mind the first. Couldn't finish the second. Won't watch the third

Radar Chief 05-17-2013 09:12 AM

Why not? I dug 1 & 2, I’ll watch #3.
Probably even buy a copy when it hits the $5 isle at Walmart.

Zebedee DuBois 05-17-2013 09:28 AM

When it comes on USA or FX, I will watch it. Unless something better is on.

Bump 05-17-2013 09:48 AM

the first one sucked, how did this get a franchise?

Deberg_1990 08-06-2013 04:51 PM

Bruce Willis out. Harrison Ford in. I think they have got everyone now but Steven Seagal?

He actually said "Greedy and Lazy...A sure formula for career failure".

Say what you will about Sly but there's no doubt the man is a creative workaholic.

I have total respect for sly. I just thought it was a weird thing to say considering how many movies Willis has made, how much success he has had, and factoring his age in as well.
If he doesn't want to drop his price for Sly's mash up it doesn't make him any of those things.

lcarus 08-07-2013 09:13 AM

Whatever happened to Rambo 5? I thought they were making that. I also thought they were talking about another Rocky.....this dude just doesn't want to quit lol.

I liked the first one. But I am a big jet Li fan. I think Micky kind of stole that one-prob why they left him out of #2-lol

#2 was a bit of a disapointment. The Willis / Arnold scene was stoopid fluff. Plus Jet only had one fight scene in it. Willis was recently called out by Sly as Greedy and Lazy-which I would have to agree with when you watch ANY of his movies for the last 20 years. Same snarl, same character-big payday. Glad he is out.

Not sure what harrison Ford will do- but the Star Wars geeks will be lineing up-lol :)

Jackie Chan is absolutely the toughest guy I have ever seen- he just amazes me. So many broken bones.

Deberg_1990 08-07-2013 03:43 PM

LOL at the hypocrisy of Sly calling out another actor as lazy and greedy.

How is that hypocrisy? How many Oscar moms has Bruce Willis received? How many movies, succcessful movies, has Willis written, directed or produced?

Sly is a ****ing workaholic, man. He's a ****ing stud.

Willis is just becoming an old, predictable actor.

Gonzo 08-08-2013 08:45 AM

IMHO Willis' beat acting was in Pulp Fiction. He actually made you appreciate the role he was playing.

Frazod 08-08-2013 09:13 AM

Didn't Kevin Smith have a diatribe about Willis being a lazy douche as well?

Easy 6 08-08-2013 09:22 AM

Willis apparently wanted a cool million a day... i'd can him, too.

What i'll never ever understand though, is why in the hell Ford would want get involved in such a mindless romp... dude is slumming big time.

Have you seen any Ford movies in the last ten years or so? Bad is too kind a word for them.

Viewed as b grade action flicks, I enjoyed the first two, and will watch the third.

Eh, he's 71 years old. Most of his roles have been serious and even somewhat dour. This will give him an opportunity to have some fun with other "action stars".

I haven't personally worked with Stallone but I have two good friends that have worked closely with him (a producer and a post supervisor) and they rave that he's the consummate professional, so that's appealing to most.

I just meant his choice in roles. Commercial over artistic. They all are"chasing the money" and that's fine. I'm cool with that. just don't try and pretend your above that when your making Rocky 7s and 8s instead of more Coplands. He does seem like a cool dude though, and Willis comes off like a douche at times.

Copland is set to become a TV series.

I actually think it was pretty cool of Sly to call out Willis. It's very clear that Sly is catering to audience and all of the other guys are cool and on board. By making this tweet, he doesn't have to explain to the press later why Willis wasn't involved.

Without the audience, these guys are nothing. Willis seems to have forgotten that part. Maybe it was one too many Die Hard films.

Not really "good", per se.

My friend that worked with him in post on the first Expendables film said Sly came to the studio each day wearing sunglasses and never took them off, even during each screening. He'd hand him a notepad full of notes at the end of each session. All he said was Hello and Goodbye.

My other friend worked on the the later Rambo films. They shared a trailer for weeks and while Sly was polite and professional, he was never "friendly". Not a dick but just a professional. He said you'd never know it was Rambo or Rocky when he wasn't on set.

I've never run into Willis, although I was invited to one of his brother's infamous parties around 2003. We had something going on, so I declined and was never invited again.

I honestly have no idea. I know that he did a porn film back in the 70's but I've never read that book. I'd imagine that if he didn't sue the publisher and writer, it's probably true.

Hmm. Jackie Chan has been attached for a while but the last I heard, the Nic Cage thing was internet speculation that was debunked.

According to IMDB Pro, Antonio Banderas has been cast along with Ford. Chan is listed along with Snipes, Mel Gibson and all the others but no Nic Cage.

Great point about him not taking it to court, its hard to believe a guy could get so jaded for thrills that he needed to see that.

WHOA... no kidding... God bless Sly for seeing the need and recognizing great talents who need a new break.

Yeah, Willis isnt on Sly's level, it seems easy to dismiss Sly based on much of his recent career... but no one can take away those beautifully pure first two Rocky films, or his Oscar.

As a confirmed "jew lover" in many ways, its impossible to argue with the initial outrage, it wasnt just one incident after all, one of which took place in front of that directors entire family (cant remember his huge name) at Gibsons villa.

IMO he took a confirmable at times in Hollywood and maybe elsewhere injustice, ie; jews sticking together like glue and excluding anyone they dont think is on board... entirely too far and into a personal realm.

A buddy of mine has lost more than one extra and/or speaking role because he didnt lie about questions asked of him by a PA concerning his heritage, thats just a tiny example.

"Are you one of the tribe?"

Frazod 08-10-2013 11:50 AM

Maybe Stallone was right.

http://www.theguardian.com/film/2013...ies-interviews

Quote:

Bruce Willis is "bored" of shooting action movies but likes the money they generate, the Hollywood star has reportedly told a Spanish magazine.

The 58-year-old star of the Die Hard series, who is currently promoting comic-book action movie Red 2, said explosions were "one of the most boring parts of my job", adding: "When you have seen a few fireballs, it's not exciting any more. I know part of my audience enjoys the explosions, but to be honest, I'm a bit bored of it now."

He reportedly added: "I am very clear with who I am. I work in all sorts of films, but the action movies are the ones that generate the most revenue. I like to earn lots of money from those, but I do all types: small productions, mega-projects, medium-sized, even science fiction." Nevertheless, Willis said he did not "dance for joy" upon receiving movie pay cheques and was not "someone who spends the whole day counting bank notes".

---

Willis came close to appearing even more bored during a recent video interview to promote Red 2 with Magic FM, his disinterested veneer contrasting with the cheery prattle of the easy-listening station's interviewer Jamie Edwards. Highlights include Willis telling Edwards – without apparent prompting – that he is not acting right now, but merely "selling" the film ("that fun part happened while we were making the movie"), and responding to a query about his fondness for cars with the line: "I'm thinking about driving right now – I can hardly keep my mind on this interview."

I think Willis has it backwards- fans are bored with him. In GI Joe- he was such a disapointment- practically ruined an already stoopid movie. Really you have a bazooka in your broom closet-lol a rocket launcher in your dishwasher-lol

Glad he won't be in the new movie- the scene with him and Arnold shooting people on a golf cart- was the dumbest scene in history.

Its actually a really cool idea to get everyone together like this, but I'm just way past these wildly unbelieveable shootemups... something atleast halfway believeable and serious like Bourne etc, please.

No more "Charlies Angels" with aging action stars for me.

Stallone finally caves. Expendables 3 will be rated PG13. Sign of the times....

For now, the franchise isn’t eyeing retirement. It has made about $580M at the global box office so far. But both of the first films were rated R. This one is going out PG-13. Stallone explained, “We want to reach as many people as possible. It’s very close to an R, believe me, it’s right there. But I think we owe it to the next generation. We thought we’d join that club for a while.”

LMAO

I might have already mentioned it (but don't curr); my wife and I sat down to watch it, and not even 1/2 through she said "**** it" and went to clean the bathroom lol. I continued to watch simply to see if it would get any worse.
