They would not let anyone in. It would be a state of emergency.

is that all you people have?

WTF Yall gona DIE!!

Barret 11-13-2012 01:29 PM

Well here is my thought.

1: Should have a "bug out bag" with clothing and other items such as fire starters, compass, axe and some other items ready to go. This should allow me to walk or find some sort of transportation to my Cousins ranch which is about 10 to 15 miles away.

2: Cousins ranch has 30 head of horses and about 20 goats and her husband is military and has weapons. Couple that along with my weapons and ammo and should be able to hunker down there for a brief time.

3: Bring in redneck family members that have guns. Its Texas so that quota should be filled quickly. This will assist on patrolling for people trying to steal the horses or cause havoc. Secure the area with traps and such so as to catch perhaps animals for food but humans trying to sneak in.

4: Slaughter a Horse or goat for its meat every week or so and then scout / raid other homes in the area for other animals or canned foods.

5: In the scout raid process look for more ammo, weapons and probably a couple older style vehicles. Diesel is preferred since you can make bio diesel and keep them running for a time frame.

Getting an older style vehicle assists in hauling items from locations and extends the scout / raid range further then a mile or so.

How am I doing so far?

Sorry dude. I have that covered. I already have about 20 people in my family that is going with me.
By the way I do have a large supply of antibiotics and medical supplies. Hand Crank radio. Large stock pile of dried goods. Very extensive arsenal of weapons. Been through 6 survival classes.

Sounds like you need someone with logistical and planning skills not to mention someone to help keep the species going..you can't keep all that going within the family

Now this is some good thinking....

I am thinking armed roadblocks should be set up to prevent others from infiltrating our neighborhood.

R8RFAN 11-13-2012 01:38 PM

Just remember, an injury could lead to death if it becomes infected without the proper antibiotics so pilfering in other neighborhoods and taking a shot in the leg could be the end of you.

Grab the old Chevy at work, put the battery back in, change the starter if needed. Hook up the trailer, which has 2 generaotors and 10 gallons of gas. Load up my guns, survival gear, clothes, food and head to the little town I lived in before moving here. I have tons of friends there, 3 rivers originate there, tons of game and catlle, and two Hutterite colonies raising their own food. Its a pretty tight-knit community.

90 miles on back roads. A little shorter if you use a short piece of interstate, which I'd avoid.

Don't know that you could get that far, people would probably be shooting at you from the woods.

Stay at our farm.

I can see 10 miles each direction and we have food growing around us in the form of crops and cattle.

Over 10,000 rounds of ammunition in every form from .22 to .308 with a perfect reloading facility.

For intruders, why do you think I have been practicing 500 yard + shooting? ;)

Within one moment flyover country becomes prime real estate. If it does happen I hope it happens during the winter so that the city scum get weeded out before trying to take over the countryside.
