Some other shit. Not sure if it was a bootleg or what, but there wasn't one SOA song on it. I might still have it somewhere.

I was lucky enough to know some older guys who had fat stacks of hardcore,oi,punk, i made a million mixed tapes. Id kill to have one today. Imo the two best lps from NYC to come out in 89 are Sheer Terrors just can't hate enough and SOIA blood sweat no tears. Its CLOBBERIN TIME!

This is a killer lineup. Wish I was in Cali soon could go...

Following the October 2015 Inaugural event, It’s Not Dead Fest is returning this August headlined by Rancid and Dropkick Murphys. The Pier was in attendance for the first event and we have our calendar marked Saturday, August 26th for the Punk Rock Festivals return!

Vans Warped Tour & It’s Not Dead founder Kevin Lyman says, “Ever since the first It’s Not Dead people have told me how much fun they had. So when Rancid and The Dropkick Murphys reached out, I said, Let’s do it again!”

That’s not a bad way to start a festival and from there the lineup grew into what we’re celebrating below. The Lineup:
RancidItsNotDead2_admat_03-13-17_OSM
Dropkick Murphys
Buck-O-Nine
Buzzcocks
The Casualties
Channel 3
Down By Law
The Exploited
The Flatliners
GBH
Good Riddance
The Grim
Guttermouth
The Interrupters
Kevin Seconds
Left Alone
Love Canal
Mad Caddies
Madcap
Murphy’s Law
Off!
Reagan Youth
Rehab Bob
Runaway Kids
The Selecter
Skating Polly
Slaughter and the Dogs
The Toasters
Toxic Energy
True Rivals
The Unseen
U.S. Bombs
Voodoo Glow Skulls
A Wilhelm Scream
Wraths
and more to be announced…..

Some of the stand-outs on this line-up, for me personally and aside from the headliners, would be The Flatiners as they have a new album, Inviting Light, dropping April 7th, 2017. I’m also really excited to see the addition of The Interrupters along with longtime nods to The Toasters, Mad Caddies, Voo-Doo Glow Skulls (how awesome is that name?) and Buck-O-Nine.

Additionally and per the press release — Making their return to the festival are the pop-up art exhibition ‘Art’s Not Dead’ and the ‘Punks Well Read’ book signing and literary area, both curated by renowned punk rock photographer Lisa Johnson. Additionally, there will also be a ‘Punk Swap’ zone of unique and artisan finds under the big circus tent.

The art show will exhibit and sell works from many of the underground scene’s most acclaimed artists and photographers, while the book signings will highlight many of the punk world’s best authors.

The festival will be taking place on August 26th, 2017 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater Festival Grounds in San Bernadino, CA. Doors open at 12:00pm. Tickets start at $42.50 and you can explore all of your options and make your ticket-purchase by clicking HERE! Kids 10 and under will once again be admitted free with a paid adult.

It's not all punk but how about the music in recent commercials?

Misfits - Where Eagles Dare
Pixies - Where is my Mind
The Specials - A Message to You Rudy
Ice Tea - Colors

It's ****ing weird and surreal to me...

NightWolf 05-05-2017 05:38 AM

well, i was feeling nostalgic today, so....

Down in the depths of my fiery home
The summons bell will chime
Tempting you and all the earth
to join our sinful kind
There is a job to be done and I'm the one
You people make me do it
Now it is time for your fate and I won't hesitate
to pull you down into this pit

So come on
Jump in the Fire
So come on
Jump in the Fire

With hell in my eyes and with death in my veins
The end is closing in
Feeding on the minds of man
and from their souls within
My disciples all shout to search you out
And they always shall obey
Follow me now my child not the meek or the mild
But do just as I say

So come on
Jump in the Fire
So come on
Jump in the Fire

Jump by your will or be taken by force
I'll get you either way
Trying to keep the hellfire lit
I am stalking you as prey
Living your life as me I am you you see
There is part of me in everyone
So reach down grab my hand walk with me through the land
Come home where you belong

So come on
Jump in the Fire
So come on
Jump in the Fire

When you're not religious, they all seem crazy. Same with politics, so don't take this as a personal view other than music. I absolutely love artwork as a timestamp to look back on years later. I pre-ordered this Grind Against Trump compilation cassette today. Pretty solid lineup.

It was fun. Doom unequivocally played the best set I've heard all year. Total pros.

Chicago's Nam Land though. They brought the right mix of old man government paranoia, heavy booze, mental illness, and crust. If you can make it to the 1:55 mark, The Shame is where they set it off. Wish I would've been around here in the 90s to catch them, they were still good now though.

Definitely like those guys better than Namland, its more what I consider true punk... solid

Dude sorry bout your luck with the halo, what a drag it must be severely complicating every single thing you do... 2 and a half months + is a looong freaking time for something like that

Do you know when it can come off?

I bought the bad religion Christmas album released a couple of years ago. It's ****ing wonderful. All the songs are church songs.

I’m hoping to get it off in a couple weeks. I’ve got a running list of things I’m going to get into once it’s off, starting with a bowl of ramen. Soup is impossible to eat in this thing without wearing half of it.

Its been a good year or more since I've heard 'are you happy', its time to hear it again.. the ferocity of that song just slays me every time

This cut at #3 is as raw and unbridled as a bigfoot in heat
