I posted an article in this thread that gave a pretty good analysis of the play of LT's and how they age.

They may play deep into their 30s but that doesn't mean their production stays solid.

LMAO You're hilarious, man.

That would be refreshing...

Apparently if you play in the NFL for five years now you're a brokedick.

Apparently you've managed to master one thing in your life - hyperbole.

No one is saying that. At all.

What I did post was an article that shows how tackles decline once they hit their 30th birthday. Is it gospel? No, it's just a resource.

However, what this prior regime did to Albert was probably shorten his career by 2-3 years simply by changing their demands on what they wanted from their lineman every other year.

I have no problem getting a 2nd round pick for Albert when a month and a half ago he had one foot out the door.

Some offensive lineman play well into their 30's. It's certainly not a given.

Good one's play much later...

They just had another part about Miami and Albert and "clarified" that Miami is willing to give up "one of their second round picks"

The gal that made the "both" comment earlier must have misspoke.

Complete speculation.

For all we know Albert will play until he's 35.

This is just a question, could the Chiefs let the dolphins offer Albert a contract to set the market so they could work on their own deal for him?

I believe so; if Chiefs choose not to match, Fins would have to give up picks.

I don't believe that would happen. I mean if we were saying we are thinking about trading with them, could we see what they offer Albert and see if its a number we could do. Maybe Albert thinks he's worth more than he really is.

The chiefs have been telling teams what Albert wants.

Why not? Nothing is final until the trade is done.

But then you are getting into the same grey area that we talked about with the Smith deal and not going through with it when the league date came around.
I think integrity is a big thing with Dorsey/Reid I doubt they would do such a thing.
