Yeah, that's definitely true. The problem is that my template was made off of an existing JPG image, so the borders are a little shitty. For that reason, they look pretty crappy on anything but a black background.

My only caution for you guys is not to go TOO crazy spending time on these. I know part of AC's plan is to upgrade to a new version of vBulletin once we get onto a new server, and who knows if we'll be able to do the same thing there or not.

The Royalsplanet skin should be made the default and the Lounge name should remain the same until the Chiefs do something to earn it back.

If you care to mess with it any more (to actually make it a RoyalsPlanet logo or anything), all it needs to be is a 200wx124h image with a transparent background. Pretty simple.

So CP is now RP, well, I guess I'll go with a winner.

I appreciate the attempt, but the placement of the text doesn't work well with the yellow stripe in the header. It's also tough to remove the black background from the letters since they're blurred on the sides.

We can stick with the "Champs" logo for now. At some point down the road it might make more sense to go back to the other one, but it's really not a big deal.

Yeah, that decision is above my pay grade, but it'd have to be a very deliberate decision to do something like that. Making RoyalsPlanet a bigger focus would bring in new people that might not come here otherwise, but it would also alienate people who are here for the Chiefs.

I like having the RoyalsPlanet skin available, but going beyond that would have to be a bigger discussion (or at least mandate from AC).

Yeah, if this became a baseball-themed site I would start spending my time on Downtime Chiefsplanet.

It's been a couple years since we've refreshed any of the header images. If anyone happens to have the motivation to put a few together, I will shower you with the love of a thousand reps. (Or at least a couple reps that total a thousand points.)

At a minimum, we need to get our playmakers in the rotation. We don't have anything up there for Kelce, Hill, Hunt, or Alex right now.

Larry's been gone for a while, but I did go through and nix 5-10 others. Charles is still in there, but he's been cut down from probably 7 to 2ish. Bowe is gone. There was one of McCluster in there. A few other random shots of team members that aren't here anymore...

I tried one like that, but it's really tough since it's a pretty small amount of vertical space. You either get Alex's face or the ball - not both.

I prefer Chief vintage/Chief HOFers in the header as you said Charles, Bowe, and McCluster are either playing for other teams or are unceremoniously out of the league

If people have images they like but don't know how to (or feel comfortable with) manipulating them to create the header image itself, post a link to the image here. The hard part is finding a good shot - not manipulating it.

Keep in mind that he best shots will be very "horizontal" or at least have a focal point that's small and in the middle so that there's plenty of stuff on the side to fill out the frame.
