Got a computer problem

I picked up something called Coupon Drop Down. I've looked all over in my files and folders for this and can't find it anywhere. I'm sure it tagged on to something I downloaded but I looked in Firefox add on's, extensions ect and still can't figure out where the **** it's hiding. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would scan your computer with Malware bytes and see what it detects and removes. You can get the free version here if you have never used it:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

Coupon dropdown claims it is "Norton Safe", and it appears to have an official site. This is what the site says to do to uninstall:

http://coupondropdown.com/uninstall.php

I would do the malware bytes first, and consider the coupondropdown.com site to be suspect, since it has already put this software on your computer without permission.

Best of luck!

Malware bytes can't find it. I've had it on my computer for a couple of years and I keep it updated. I've been to the official site as well and it tells me to look under firefox add on's only it's not listed anywhere. It's driving me crazy.

I'm assuming you went to control panel and checked to see if it was installed and could be removed with add/remove programs?

Also look for I WANT THIS or GET IT FREE and uninstall it.

Then go to FF add ons and look for similar things like Yontoo or Coupon,Inc

It was a browser Hijack. What I had to do was reset Firefox back to default and begin all over. Anyone who gets jacked by coupon drop down is ****ed!! :cuss::banghead::#

if you followed the advice given in the malware thread you can easily fix browser hijacks and other issues with one download.
