Fans will still be able to buy merchandise with the Chief Wahoo logo in the team store and in the Cleveland area, but thats it. The logo will not appear on uniforms, on signage in the stadium, or on anything from MLB.

edit: This will start in the 2019 season. Its apparently too late for them to remove the logo in the 2018 season for some reason.

The Chiefs use of native american iconography is a far cry from Chief Wahoo's caricature.

Has to hurt a lot for Indians fans. One of the most recognizable and immediately likable logos in all of sports.

Likable is hardly a label I'd put on it. It's a racist caricature that's offputing if anything. I'm ok with it being put in the dustbin of history.

Any truth to the rumor that they're going to co-market with the state capital and change the logo to Christopher Columbus?
